This place is a very spacious campground with electric hookups at most of the camping spots. The bathrooms are spotless and the grounds are kept immaculate. Nightime quiet hours are enforced so that everyone can enjoy themselves. There are trails to hike and animals everywhere. There is a dumping station at the front gate. It's an ideal setting for a family to have a reunion. The prices run $30-$50/night, pretty much the standard for state run campgrounds. I give five stars to only the best, so this campground is pretty darn good!

Overall we enjoyed the experience. Campground is very well kept, clean and good size. Showers might be a bit far depending on the campsite you’re staying. We stayed in campsite 77 which has lots of shade and space. The next campsite to one side is covered by trees/bushes so you have privacy but the other side not so much. Lots of yellow jackets which was annoying every time we cooked/ate, so bring something to deter them from coming to you. Also the campsite is pretty hilly which worried me a little since I have a 20 month old. Other than that we really liked it and will go back another time to a different, flatter campsite. :)

We have been coming to this campground for years and have loved all it has to offer. The only issue we had this time were the yellow jackets bothering us each time we made food on site #11. We were here in June on the same site and there were no bees. Is July the season in which they come out?

Beautifully maintained campgrounds. Restrooms were surprisingly well kept and clean. The only major concern were the abundance of yellow jackets overtaking campsite #52. Probably a good idea to bring some type deterrent for yellow jackets in particular.

$32 per night single site. (Non-electric)
Yes a camper is allowed there then plus they have beautiful restrooms and showers very surprised. Some places you're able to get a connection but otherwise no at least with my service
Went last weekend. Not strict, just no more than eight people per site. $8/day for an extra vehicle pass.
Generally, the individual campsites have enough parking for two vehicles. You just pay $10 per day for the second vehicle, I think.
Yes please reserve a site otherwise you risk not getting a spot if they're all booked up
You need to check fire conditions and restrictions
Like most said, on most sites yes, most are spacious and flat-ish. Hope this helps. Campground drivethrough, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30M13RqfKjM
Its near hwy 18 might get some highway light
No charcoal is allowed in the fire pits, but otherwise you're good to go! Bundles of wood are on sale at the gate for $8
Yes. I there are designated overflow parking. There's some next to campsite 35? I think 🤔
There is a beautiful swimming and fishing lake near GreenValley Lake campground
Yes
No. You can have camp fire before you sleep. It is not that cold.
$8 for a bundle (about 6 logs)
Yes! Paved streets throughout the campground and some trails as well.
Yes, dog friendly. Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
It is!
Did check in little after 12pm. They let in no complaints.
Yes it is until further notice.https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/sbnf/news-events/?cid=FSEPRD799192
The fire pits have a grill over them. Not quite the same but you could put your charcoal there
I think it would depend on the age of your kids, there were lots of kids in bikes and scooters. But it had me very worried because sometimes the cars drove too fast and the roads twist and turn with blind corners. Maybe I'm too protective but I wouldn't let my child ride in those conditions...
Yes however you can only pick your own spot if the spot you want is available during the time you are reserving. Go to recreation.gov to see availability and reservations
Depends where you're coming from. Most use hwy 18 but that's a somewhat steep and twisty road. I went up hwy 138 which is also twisty and a little less steep, but also much less traffic so i was able to take my time driving up. If you're towing a long trailer i wouldn't suggest the 138. Definitely take the 18.
Pretty early...we tried getting one first thing in the morning & they were all already taken.
Question..we have a campsite reserved and want our kids friends family along. How strict are they? We all spend time together as it is so it’s not like it’s any new exposure.
Reservations must be done online by spot number. Many have been booked all the way through August
It is open only 6 months out of the year. It is currently closed for winter. It does have hookups.
NOISE - ENGINE DRIVEN ELECTRIC GENERATORS which can disturb others, may be operated only between the hours 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Loud disturbing noise is prohibited at all times, and is disturbing those asleep between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
Oh ok if there is any opening you guys let me know and it's for this weekend but it's for Saturday and Monday
66/67 is a group site that will hold three cars. Also, there's over flow parking for single sites that have three cars. There's an additional cost per extra car, 5 bucks each, I think.
I'd like to help, but I dont speak spanish. If u can re ask in English I'd be more then happy to help
$34.50 for a single site, one vehicle included. Second vehicle $7 per night.
Not all sites are created equal. As with any camping reservation, make sure the particular site accommodates the length of your RV.
Most people did not have their food in bear boxes when we went last year. We just kept our food in the car.
Campsite 4 is standard nonelectric (so no, it doesn't have hookups).
You just go to your site after hours. 10 pm is quiet time, and check in the next morning.
$34.50. None hook up $44.50 with electric
No where to swim. Campground not near the lake. In the lake is no boating or swimming. It is private. Only residents.
It's a US forestry camp site, you can hopefully reserve once Trump opens the government again.
Yes, most sites have a nice flat spot if you look around your site.
They are quite booked up during the summer. Campers make reservations. I wouldnt just go there thinking there might be a spot available. Take the time to make reservations & there's a good chance You may not even get that! Sorry!
The camp host should be able to tell you. As far as I could tell most sites are able to accommodate. But I would call to make sure your site will. Happy camping!
Online
Don't know why but it sure ain't free
First time going with 3 kids. Where or how you storage your food or make your own bear box?
I never had issues bringing my own wood as long as its clean and wood is not infested with termites
32 per day 2 cars per location
Depends on the site. Some are close; others have significant distances. Our site had nothing to either side, but the picnic table, fire pit, and water spigot was up a little hill.
Yes each campsite has there own firepit and picnic table
What do u mean
I think you got out get a campsite I think it's like $40
For a 4 night stay in our RV, we paid $170 for an electric hookup. This was over Mother's Day weekend.
As many tents that fit on the site for the amount of people allowed in the site
You will be fine. 8 people max for that site. Two vehicles.
My friends and I have gone in with a larger trailer (26’). I believe max length is 35’.
As long as you all fit in your designated campgrounds for as many spots you buy together you can fit about 50 people
Im pretty sure its under $30 per camp site thats like for 6-7 people!! But its $5 per every extra car to park
Probably. The camp hosts are very nice and would probably allow you to drive through the campground to get an idea of it. Alternately, you could go on campsitephotos dot com and review Dogwood campsites that way.
Single (8 people) site $32.50, Holiday single $34.50. Double (16 people) Site $63.50 Holiday double $67.50. Single site with hook up $42.50. Holiday single site with hook up $44.50. Camping fee includes entry for 1 vehicle. Extra vehicle fee $5 per night. RV dump $10 you would need several sites, I don't recomend this site for that many people. Find a group campground that can handle more than 50 people.
Not really. Closest public place to swim is probably Lake Gregory. Lake Arrowhead is closer, but doesn't have a public beach, I believe.
And maximun you can stay is 14 days I believe. Unless you become a camp host. Which is a job as maintenance/supervision of the camp. But thats a whole other topic.
Yes, at the check in booth.
