Worst and most expensive tattoo I’ve ever gotten. Artist took a chunk of skin out of me giving me a scar. I picked this place seeing that it had won awards and had great reviews. I don’t doubt that this shop has great artists, but mine was not. He shot most of my ideas down saying he wouldn’t do them, then I finally got him to draw something up. The drawing looked good so I went ahead with it. This picture is not even a month later at a tattoo shop in my hometown where I already had to get it touched up. I got 3 more tattoos done that day (4 hour session) for less than I paid for the below pictured piece. Thoroughly disappointed in my experience and my artist.

I visited here while on vacation in Miami and I’m so glad I chose Salvation over the other tattoo shops in the area. The whole staff made my mom and I feel very welcome. Andrew, my tattoo artist, really brought my inspo picture to life and didn’t miss a single detail. He ensured that I was comfortable the whole time and was super gentle knowing it was only my second tattoo. My experience there was so amazing that I would fly back out to Miami just to go there!

My wife and I took a spontaneous trip to Miami Beach and decided to get some work done as part of our mini-vacation. I found a few shops in the area but Salvation Tattoo Lounge stood out for a number of reasons: 1) great customer reviews 2) professional atmosphere 3) amazing artists So I contacted the shop to book an appointment and was greeted by a very friendly and kind soul who helped with our booking and making our experience smooth. The shop welcomes walk-in appointments but I had a specific (larger) piece in mind and sent reference photos. The shop & artist were able to accommodate my design and schedule requests. I submitted a deposit for the artist to begin working on my personalized/custom design. I was provided an estimate on time/cost up front and the process was very transparent. The morning of our appointment I received proofs of the design from the artist with a couple options to choose from. This was really nice and collaborative. Some shops are not so accommodating and do not send designs prior to arriving to the shop and are not willing to make changes based on your feedback. The evening of our appointment we started at 6pm and were highly impressed by the cleanliness and overall feel of the shop. The décor and style was warm and comfortable while also being very organized, relaxing, and sterilized. My artist, Felipe, greeted me and we finalized design options, size, optimal placement, etc. My wife was doing a walk-in so she worked with her artist, Herradon, to choose a small piece and he worked up numerous placement options. The staff was very knowledgeable about placement and what could potentially cause issues distorting designs or causing a piece to look awkward. My wife went for her piece and I continued to work with Felipe on placement. I was really satisfied when he placed the piece and then consulted with other artists on alignment. We determined a re-stencil was necessary... which I was very happy with. Some artists would not take the extra time and pay attention to those details before starting the tattoo. Needless to say, the experience was top-notch. Felipe poured his heart and soul into my piece from the original design to the details and final touches. I am in love with my new tattoo. It was a 10 hour session overall. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Felipe is a great dude and badass artist. He is constantly working to hone his skills. I would trust him for any piece. He went above and beyond on the detail. The line work is clean and crisp, the shading is hammered in and bold, and the fine lines and details are perfect touches. His design was rock solid and it turned into a pristine piece of art. Felipe is now a brother for life and my new tattoo is my favorite one! TL;DR - go to Salvation Tattoo Lounge, you will not regret it!

I cannot say enough how much you should choose this tattoo parlor when wanting a tattoo in Miami. The artists are phenomenal and tonight I specifically speak on Samuel. He’s not only a kind hearted wonderful talented tattooist, but he changed my confidence after doing my friend and my tattoos we wanted while we are here. He went above and beyond our expectations for our tattoo and listened and made sure the placement was right and it looked exactly as we were wanting. The fine detail and hard work he dedicates to begin such a talented artist shows in our tattoos. In addition, I have been extremely self conscious about a bad tattoo for a long time and even when so hot, I would always wear long sleeves to hide my arm tattoo. Tonight, Samuel changed that for me and the experience my friend and I had was one to remember. I actually cried because of how beautiful my arm now looks and the fact I don’t feel I need to hide it when I’m in my home state anymore. I highly recommend this place and Samuel. I give him a 10 star rating well beyond a 5. The artists here are very kind and you will have a wonderful experience going here. The daytime sometimes has the best chance to go in and get work done. They are true talent and I’m so glad we went while we are here. He’s changed my self esteem about my body because of his work tonight. They do if not busy take walk in’s. Choose this place and do yourself a favor when wanting a clean, unique, and stand out art for your body when coming to or living in Miami.
