I just called to ask basic questions and the rep was curt, sounded annoyed, and patronizing. Very disappointing since I like Costco so much.

The staffs at the Optical Department of this Costco are very unfriendly and rude! I am a Costco member since 2007. And I love to shop at Costco because of the price and the quality of products. So, I decided to get a pair of reading glasses from them. I went there on two separate days and interacted with two employees. Unfortunately, I experienced the same uncooperative/derogatory behavior on both occasions. I would highly recommend training these employees in customer care before they ruin the Costco name and the trust of loyal shoppers like us!

I have purchased four pair of glasses through Costco in 3 years. Two were progressives, one was prescription sunglasses, the other reading glasses. None have lasted more than 6 months before becoming un-wearable due to scratches. If you drop your glasses even once, chances are they will become too scratched up to wear. And they have a strange film on them....you just can't wipe it away. I have never experienced this with glasses from my optometrist. I have decided to buy frames at costco, but get the prescription filled thru my optometrist. Costs the same for the lens.
