Dr Cohen was like God sent to us. He was the only doctor who took the call and didn’t refuse to see us during the holiday season. He made sure the surgery was scheduled in a timely manner. Not only he is a great surgeon, but he also an amazing human being. So grateful he was the one who was in charge.

I’m 73 years old and both my knees were painful. One was injured years ago, the other a problem for 3 to 4 years. I got along with steroid injections and one bout of physical therapy. Dr. Cohen x-rayed and evaluated both knees, confirming that both were “shot”. But what I really appreciated was the cogent and extremely sensible advice he gave me, not just regarding the clinical aspects, but how and when surgery could fit in with my future life plans. I decided to go ahead with knee replacements. I had each knee done, 8 weeks apart. Surgery took under an hour and I walked the same day. Physical therapy in the hospital, at home and then as an outpatient was programmed by Dr. Cohen. Now at 3 months I am functioning well. Joint replacements are not trivial. Although I could have chosen any physician as we travel city to city, after reviewing Dr. Cohen’s preparation and experience, we decided upon him. His office is courteous and friendly. You aren’t left waiting for long times. Dr. Cohen is an exquisite clinical craftsman. I happily and highly recommend him without reservation. And my wife is a retired RN of 40 years medical experience, and shares this recommendation.

I had a torn bicep that required surgery within 3 weeks or it would be too late. Without surgery the arm would become significantly weaker. Because of past experiences with other doctors and health groups I was very concerned that I would miss the 3 week window for surgery. I called Dr. Cohen's office on Friday, had an appointment on Monday, then had an MRI that same day. I had self-diagnosed and expected a scolding from the Dr. for looking up my symptoms on the Web. He told me (paraphrased), "Why should I scold you because you're smart enough to figure out your injury?" I liked him from that moment on. By Wednesday Dr. Cohen had seen the results of the MRI. After a consultation with Dr. Cohen the operation was scheduled for the following Wednesday. A week to spare! Dr. Cohen is approachable and friendly. He explained the procedure thoroughly. I followed his instructions and 12 weeks later I was released from his care. It's been 5 months now and I'm lifting some light 10 pound barbells. He still wants me to take it easy for about a year. I would recommend Dr. Cohen to anyone requiring his surgical skill. In fact my wife plans to have Dr. Cohen replace her knee.

Dr. Brad Cohen is an outstanding orthopedic surgeon. He has provided care for two different members of our family and our experiences with him have been exceptional. It is clear that he has tremendous compassion and empathy for his patients - he really listens and pays close attention to detail. Dr. Cohen is not only an extremely knowledgeable and experienced orthopedic surgeon, but it is obvious that he loves what he does and has a passion for the profession. He is a brilliant doctor and a gifted surgeon, and we are so grateful for his excellent care.
