Great Place to Bike, Hike, and Run. A very family friendly place with trails that aren't too difficult. And the absolute best views of PCH!!

A wonderful hike that you can either make short or long, depending on which trail you choose. I chose the scenic trail that gives stunning views of the coast and is relatively short. I’d say about 1-1.5 hour round trip depending if you chose to take in the scenery or not. It’s great if you’re also short on time. Once you see the sign that is on the left side, not facing you, you’ll reach a fork with 3 routes. I chose the one on the left. You feel like you’re on edge of the world at the top. The scenic trail was hilly. So expect to go up and down once you’re at the top. You can either park on the street or in the small visitor parking lot ($12 for the day or $3 per hour). There are also campgrounds on site. When you check in at the kiosk, the middle road, as if going straight, has the trailhead entrance. But to park in the paid visitor lot, you have to make a left, drive up that road and make another left. The only reason for the 4 star review is because there are no dogs allowed on the trail. Due to a traumatic life experience with dogs, I am deeply afraid of dogs and I can’t really control my panic attacks when there are dogs near me. I try to find hikes where there are no dogs allowed but there were several off their leash in the trail the day I went. And tons of unpicked up dog poop everywhere as well. Unfortunately for me I can’t yet control my reactions, so as wonderful as the hike and scenery was, I won’t go back. If you are able to enjoy it, I do recommend. Happy hiking!

It is sooo beautiful to go hiking here.It is such a great workout. There's a few different trails that you can explore. You get to see the beautiful green mountains.. the ocean.. butterflies.. flowers.. creek and if you're lucky deer. This is the second time I've seen deer. They're sooo adorable.

AMAZING trail system. Connects to the nearby La Jolla system and has holes both big and small that you can add to for whatever you’d like! Busy in the main drag but, the deeper you go the less people you’ll see! My boyfriend and I planned on a 3-4 mile trip for the “Overlook” and ended up going almost 9 with all of the extensions we added on. Get the $2 map from the check in booth. We didn’t see these until we were leaving. We got views of Point Mugu, several valleys, the coastline, and so much more!
