Beautiful park with lots of green for your dog, baggies, and free and ample parking. There’s a wash station near the beach, and the beach itself is very clean and and quiet on a weekday morning.

Awesome! 🌞 Really peaceful first thing in the morning, grass for picnicking, beach within quick walking distance from the vehicle, was able to get in about 3000 steps, can park & picnic at the grass right from your vehicle, so so restrooms, sailing center, surf camp, and fun to be had by all.

This is a fun, if small, beach (and park) we enjoy taking our young children to. There is a pirate ship filled with sand that kids can play in. Dock one star because the beach is a little bit rocky + the playground has been shut down and is no longer accessible.

My kids and I love this park. You can have a nice walk by the beach or the paths around, you can go surfing or swimming or even fishing. There are many benches and picnic tables around to stop and have a snack while looking at the ocean or the marina.

In the evening you have to park on the street, the gate is closedat dusk
No, because at the entrance, the security guards check the bag packs too see anybody brings alcoholic drinks.
I don't think they do. But I'm not for sure there is special parking towards the end of the entrance that may have them.
Probably? I've never tried personally, but since Oxnard does fireworks in their harbor, it seems like you'd be able to see them, and probably the Ventura College ones, too. I would guess that other people will have the same idea, though, so get there early.
Yes it varies from time to time.
$10 but it's free if you get there early. At least that's what it cost when I went. There was nobody working the entrance so I went in free but on my way out at around 10am on a Saturday there were people collecting money at the entrance.
As long as your gathering meets the current pandamic state requirements you will be fine.
Yes of course
Yeah, Until 6pm..😊
Yes they are, but sometimes the watch tower is close. Check the hours of operations.
Yep that's why we go there. But you should have your pup's on a leash. Happy trails!
There are volley ball nets at Channel Islands Harbor.
Seems to be lifeguards around on the weekends really need to be careful in that area there's a lot of Riptides
No, in the park only
During the week, it's not too crowded, but on the weekend and if it's a hot day, you might want to get there in the morning.
Yes there is a leash law and when I was there they had them all on leashes
It's a fairly small beach park and pretty busy during the summer. You may want to look for a slightly larger park.
Definitely. There are parts of the playground specifically set up for smaller children, and the whole area has very squishy flooring. Super fun and safe!
Most parks require a permit for any large gathering of people. But permits aren't that bad. This is also a popular park nestled into a neighborhood and with project vehicles from harbor projects occasionally parking in the lot. These are things to be mindful of when having a large party at this park. Any other questions?
Yes, but not allowed per city regs. About half of visitors let their dog offleash. To be safe, only let your dog offleash if they stay by you, don't jump on other people, or run up to other dogs. Its not fair to say "oh but my dog is friendly" when people have been bitten or their dogs attacked.
License are cheap enough that there isn't a reason to not buy one. I was there on vacation. Go to Walmart get a license it will cover both freahwater fishing and saltwater fishing.
With a license off the rocks jetties and the dock inside the harbor
