Our son was diagnosed with a rare condition when he was only 2 weeks old. My husband, who is in the military and I, made a tough choice to live apart, and for me to come back home to the Bay Area with our son to get him treatment at LPCH… It was one of the best decisions we’ve made!! We started seeing all of his specialists here from when he was only 3 months old. He is now a thriving 3.5 year old, who enjoys dancing, being around other people, and preschool. It’s amazing how much he has grown, and we are always excited to see what’s next. We are grateful and blessed to be able to take him here. Thank You!!

Unfortunately, we can't recommend this healthcare facility. It's not because of the care received here, it's because of the outrageous fees being charged, as well as the ongoing attempts at getting you to get more care (more visits, more blood draws, my imaging), which leaves you seriously in debt. In addition, after being down $2,000, we have not even received a phone call to explain the results nor have we received the results. As I said, not recommended.

1 out of 5 stars: Just got off the phone with the neurosurgery department. Our child requires a cranial decompression surgery, and we are trying to get a second opinions on surgical techniques/procedures to make sure she is getting the best care possible. We want to know how many of these surgeries their neurosurgeons are performing annually (a critical metric in choosing a surgeon). The lady on the phone tells me they don't have these stats and that I should "consult with [my] child's pediatrician." I'm sorry, you want me to call my daughter's pediatrician to get information on how many surgeries YOUR doctors perform? And that will accomplish what, exactly? Could you please ask one of his nurses, or the doctors themselves? "No, we don't leave messages for non-patients." But this determines if we will BECOME a patient! We are not going to fly across the country just to get a single stat line. If the doc doesn't perform more than a dozen of these per year, then I'm not going to waste my time or theirs! ***UPDATE*** I followed up with the number provided by Lucile Packard Children's Hospital in response to my review. The woman I spoke with was wonderfully responsive, and sought out someone from the neurosurgery department who could get an answer to my question. A nurse called me later that evening to provide me with the requested information. Thank you. Review has been updated to 3 of 5 stars.

Unfortunately my experience with Sandra at the register in the Cafeteria, was emotionally disturbing. Sandra displayed a lack of empathy for me and I expressed I was a parent of a patient and despite she continued to have an unprofessional demeanor. Please talk to Sandra and remind her, she works in an environment where employees should be sensitive to the population served. No family member, patient or staff should ever feel belittled the way Sandra made me feel that day. I would have given a 5 star review if it was not for my saddening experience with Sandra. Dr. Sidel and the entire team at G22 are always extremely helpful and professional. Our family has visited Lucille Packard 4 times and each time I feel comfortable and at peace with my family member’s procedures. Absolutely everyone from main entrance to the escort out were a great example of customer service! Thank you for taking such great care of my daughter.

This information was issues from Wikipedia. All I was able to find is that she and her husband had/has a lot of money. The reason for naming the hospital after her was for a huge donation. Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford was founded in 1991 after a $40 million donation in 1986 from David and Lucile Packard, and since then LPCH has become one of the nation's most prominent children's hospitals.[12] In 1996 LPCH merged with the Stanford University Medical Center, and the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health was established as an independent public charity to ensure a continued source of dedicated funding and support for the health and well being of children.

Yes they have therapy there, my son had Occupational and Physical therapy come to his room on the main recovery floor. So if they are able to do therapy in the room i would imagine they will do it there.
