It’s okay and what you would expect at any standard courthouse. The staff seem to be pretty nice and understanding. They have vending machines, a fridge and microwave in the jury lounge and free Wi-Fi.

Well, who wants to go to a courthouse right? However if you have to, the Cafe when it is open (hasn't been lately due to COVID-19), has pretty amazing lunch and other foods and there's a plethora of parking so even if you're running behind you don't have that to worry about once you get there, even if you have to park in the far end of the lot it's still very close to the entrance. I have a family member that works there as a Deputy so that makes it awesome as well and yeah they're doing work on it now and it's always getting nicer it seems! Except the jail, that just is ugly and horrible. 💯

Full stars for having a very artsy, vaginal, James Hubbell entryway. Clerks and staff are mellow, amazing people, as far as I could tell. And considering the reason for my visit, this was very, very appreciated.

At this courthouse you get to play the attorney. The family law facilitator office staff is clueless and so are their attorneys. I literally had to tell them what I needed and train them. Yet they still send wrong documents from an email that address that is “no reply “ and calls from a phone Number that doesn’t receive inbound calls. Be prepared to start from square one every time. By the way I NEVER write bad replies.

Most departments phone lines are only open Mon-Fri. 8:30-11:30am. Outside of those hours, if you need something, you will have to go online to sdcourt.ca.gov or go to the courthouse in person Mon-Fri. 8:30-4pm
Florencio Pineda benitez court today
South entrance they'll meet you at the front door before security check. They'll either send it to you or if your case is digitized they might print you a copy there.
Yes. Once its filed and entered in the system
530-630. Earlier the better. Not everyone gets seen.
$120.00 for intake and any amount after that you can't complete the program and obtain a certificate of completion to return to the judge if your class is not paid off. Its total is $455.00 for three months and it is once a week. You must pay a fee of 20$ for each time you miss a class. You can only miss four classes. First drug test (they claim)" wont count against you if you test dirty ,"but it sure can if you rub a counselor the wrong way is what i heard. Since drugs caused you to end up in pc1000 i wouldn't risk "freedom ", to continue. Make sure to give them a clean urine sample. Dont struggle to succeed by doing it high. It never ends well. Gof bless you
Walk into the business office 1st thing in the morning and they can get you in later that if time slot available
Yes but they are all online. Go online and look for the family law facilitators office they have an online workshop reservation system called f l o w
As long as you are in the que. They will talk to you. Record Checkers clog the lines.
They have a information desk. You can give them your name and they'll tell you everything you need to know
Go to the info booth
Some departments only have their phone lines open from 8:30am-11:30am.
You have to file a motion with the court. Petition for change of venue. Its a whole other case by itself.
730am
Go to the San Diego Superior Court website, and click on "Access Court Records". On the next page, click "Register of Actions". Go thru the verification process, and then enter your case number, and hit search. If the defendant/respondent has responded (filed their response) it will be listed in the ROA (Register of Actions).
Cannot answer. Only there as a juror.
Of course. The Courts are open to the public, except for Juvenile Court.
Police station
There are different restraining order forms online that you can fill out and bring with you to the courthouse to file. You can also go to the facilitator office and get help with the forms.
Check the courts register of actions page on the website
Here is contact info, on the San Diego County webpage (to search for warrants). https://apps.sdsheriff.net/ This attorney's website reads that he's seen it go both ways: they walked out and some were arrested. You should take your legal advice from an attorney. I am not an attorney. https://hasseylaw.com/criminal-law-representation/do-you-have-a-warrant/ I wish you the best.
Family court sessions are available virtually only.
All court sessions I've seen and been part of have been virtual. You will need to know what department and date. It's also different links for family and criminal you can do a search for virtual hearings at their website: http://www.sdcourt.ca.gov you can also dial in per department if you don't know how to do a virtual meeting via microsoft teams. All instructions are on their website
Probably but I would contact the court or your attorney to be safe.
I'm not sure if you can.
Usually its in person. With Covid going on though you should call the business office. I know the business office is seeing people in person also.
Just show up and start the process.
Get an attorney,I am having the same problem, I left him due to abuse and he hasn't given me a dollar. He tried to refi our house which I denied signing because my name wasn't listed on it, so he said he won't pay me now. I am living on couches and in my car , can't qualify for a shelter because I have an elderly Chihuahua. two months now and he still had not been served as the courts are overcrowded with cases and backed up due to covid. Going in person Monday to beg for answers and help!
Yes they're open to take payments
call the court and follow the prompts to the right area (criminal family etc) before 11 am or go on the court's website ... calendar
No court hearings are occuring in person. Check the court website for instructions re: how to appear by phone or Microsoft Teams (video).
The judges are not seeing anyone in person. Temporary Restraining order and ex parte matters are being decided on the pleadings only ... scheduled hearings on those orders and on stuff already filed are by video or telephonic hearing only and are limited to those scheduled. The court is on a serious lockdown.
no ... that can be arranged at the County Recorder where you get your license ... if they have resumed performing marriages
They're not taking anything but emergency sessions right now. I believe they open back up on the 25th of June. Check the website. Then you can go in and request a court date to finalize your dissolution. Depending on if you have kids, if he is contesting etc... will depend on what paperwork you need to file..
Check the website for up to date information.
You'll have to wait until the Court reopens. Closed until at least April 3rd. As that date nears, check the San Diego Superior Court website for updates on reopening
No. Court announced that all courts in the County are closed through April 3rd
None of your business
If it's a Family Law (Domestic) case, or Civil, or Probate ,The San Diego Superior Court website can tell you if you follow the links. If it's a Criminal case, go to the San Diego County District Attorney's website and put your name into their case search link and you'll find it there. Good luck
It's on the paperwork usualy first page. First page of paper if you wre served

To start a divorce? Yes. To get copies of a divorce it has to have been done there to get copies of it.
Vista court has a separate building for traffic. Enter the main driveway and at the stop sign turn right. It's the building farthest to the north of the campus
Thank you so much for the reply I thought that's how it was but wasnt sure. You use to be able to walk in and get help that same day so I thought I would ask. Thank you again.
No
Pre lim is like a mini trial with witnesses, no jurors. This is before you go to trial.
Check san diego sheriffs website.
Appear asap
If Family Law, go to the Family Law Facilitator's office for excellent assistance with paperwork. Equally effective help at the Restraining Order Clinic if that's what you need. There probably is still a Small Claims Advisor in Vista but ALL Small Claims hearings, as well as Probate cases are only heard Downtown San Diego now because our state legislators refuse to adequately fund the Courts. Do NOT ask the Court Clerks for legal advice. They aren't allowed to do that by law. Anything else, call the Bar Association of North San Diego County for a referral to an Attorney.
830am
It depends on what you are defending. There are some non profits that offer free legal assistance, but they usually specialize so you would need to be more specific.
Yes they will extend it at your hearing
Come into the courthouse and get a copy out of your file.
You do that at the County Recorders Office
