Your typical rest area has 2 sides for restrooms men and women then vending machines a few picnic tables and logs of grassy areas for pets and kids to run around. They were pretty clean and stocked when I was there but it's a busy area for sure during g summer time. There was a wait but moved very quickly and was easy to get in and out of with no confusion.

In Rocky Gap on I-77S as you enter VA from West VA. Great source of information and very knowledgeable ambassadors on site. The no cost road maps and regional tourist literature is so helpful. Be sure to arrive before 5 as the tourist information center shuts down at 5 pm. Vending machines, spacious and clean restrooms, park benches, picnic tables, and grounds to stroll make for a good rest on a long roadtrip.

This is one of the nicest welcome centers I have visited. It is always clean and comfortable. There is a nice, big area for pets, a paved path for walking, and an attendant to help if needed. There are vending machines for snacks and cold drinks, but no hot coffee. I stop every time a road trip takes me past it, (2 or 3 times a month,) and it is consistently a pleasant experience.
