Definitely the most unique and beautiful welcome center in the entire country! Beautifully restored mansion from a long past era. A historic treasure. A tremendous amount of information available about local history and destinations. The attendants are outstanding; so helpful and knowledgeable. We did not know about this place until we (thankfully) took a wrong turn. Definitely a destination in itself. Can’t wait to return when we can plan a much longer stay.

Beautiful facility and grounds to stop for info and have a picnic! The restrooms were clean. The info center had more lots of maps and information for Paducah and all of Kentucky. Lots of publications for all sorts of attractions: parks, museums, lavender farms, horse rescue farms, etc.

This is hands down the nicest and cleanest rest area we have ever stopped at. Bathrooms were extremely clean and even had fresh flowers in there. There is a beautiful little garden to walk around through and a good variety of vending machines.

My brother told me about this place and listed as a must visit. It actually was at a place where we were needing to stop anyway. The off ramp was convenient and we were able to stop with plenty of parking options. Masks were still required at this time. The facilities were really clean. Normally you can walk around this historic location and see the setup they have inside. However we arrived after the inner gates had been closed so we had to look thru the gates and windows the see the very interesting setup. Very relaxing place to stop. Felt more like a historic park than a rest area. Take a break here if you have a chance!

Yes, during the days and hours that the tour part of it is open. We have gone twice on the weekend in the afternoon and the rest of the house was closed off to touring the facility. It seems like it is more of a M-F hours for touring.
Maybe one of the artist in the downtown artist relocation neighborhood can help you.
I think it's the 6th
What fun things does paducah have to offer
What a shame
We did too by a little girl in the upstairs
I feel certain that it's not allowed on the ground. You may want to sleep in your vehicle
When I visited it looked like it was flooded. That might be why its fenced off.
