Very unprofessional experience. I'm a family member involved in a guardianship case over my schizophrenic sister in Omaha. After receiving scads of paperwork and copies of motions for months and reading every word from attorney Bethany Allen at the Lincoln location, suddenly the case is being dismissed, leaving the extremely sick and delusional patient completely left to her own devices alone in a house where my father had been caring for her but unexpectedly passed. My complaint is that I emailed this "lawyer" asking to explain the motion because I was extremely alarmed, not realizing she wouldn't be able to give an explanation without permission from the client petitioner (my oldest sister who never updated me), then, Ms. Allen chose to completely ignore my query for an entire week and did not respond either to a phonecall asking for help in a message on her private line. I only got an answer finally when I left a voice-mail with her receptionist asking if this was a reasonable amount of time for an employee of theirs to tend to a question. The worst thing though is that the reason stated in the motion to dismiss the guardianship is completely untrue, inaccurate and dangerously misleading: it states my sick sister is totally well enough to care for herself when the real reason for the termination is simply that my oldest sister simply doesn't want to deal with her at this point and thought it would be a lot easier. This now leaves both the patient and myself in a precarious situation, as she is violent and stalks me so I will now need a restraining order. Huge waste of time.

The attorney never even told me what she going to "pull" at my divorce. She said if I didn't like "go pay for an attorney". I was sick & disabled. How cruel she was Ms. A Farnham.

Unfortunately, we do not assist with criminal cases. We suggest contacting your county public defender office.
No they didn't help with divorce.mainly help with kids custody, becoming a guardian for kids and adults that no longer can make decisions on there own
Hi Shari, Unfortunately, we do not do criminal charges but you could call the Colorado Public Defenders office for assistance.

Legal aid of Omaha doesn't do or offer representation for criminal cases. They can possibly assist you in filing things if you are representing yourself. Your best bet is to check with Creighton law school. Best of luck!
