Having moved from the tristate area where you can’t have enough options for good diners, Allentown was really lacking in that field. I tried several spots and was disappointed until I finally ended up at Hometown Diner. Now it is my go-to diner! I love the food and the service here (Julie is a great waitress and is always so kind and friendly). I have come here to eat with family and with friends and we all enjoyed our meals and overall experience every time! Ps…their avocado toast never fails! Delicious every single time!

Absolutely great restaurant... our waitress MacKenzie was very attentive and sweet. The food was outstanding and delicious. This restaurant is great for the entire family and has a full bar which is a plus. We will definitely return and you should too !!!

We had the pleasure of showing up on a Wednesday about 12:30pm for lunch. The menu offered quite a few challenges. Pricing my first concern. It is safe to say nothing less than $10.00 will get you a finger licking good lunch. Ordered the chicken quesadilla. NO sides included! The back room offered a touch of eloquence for what tuned out to be the best lunch ever! EVERYTHING was PERFECT to temperature. What was supposed to be hot, was HOT! And the diced tomato, lettuce, salsa and sour cream were refrigerator COLD! This small HOMETOWN restaurant now in the path of a major trucking route in the valley continues to provide a delicious HOME cooked meal. What a hidden treasure!

This is NOT the dinner that it looks like from outside! We were here for Sun breakfast on the way through the area. We always notice that their lot is full so we have wanted to try it. It's a cool, comfy atmosphere inside All restaurants are short staffed right now, but they are doing what they can. Hometown has a system to text your phone, so we were able to wait outside. The waitress was great and kept giving up updates on our food that took awhile. They had a combo meal with cream dried beef, so I was impressed. We'll be back and hopefully can upgrade them to 5 stars next time
