My wife and I spent 3 days 2 nights in the St Mary's Cabin at Sugar Tree Inn for an anniversary weekend. The drive in Friday afternoon was through the beautiful mountains and as we drove down the long driveway to the Sugar Tree Inn Main Lodge, we could already tell it was a secluded and beautiful property. Before getting to the Main Lodge to check in, we stopped briefly at the small waterfall going through the property to get some pictures. Once getting to the Main Lodge, we were welcomed by Donna and Gerry. Donna gave us a short tour of the Main Lodge and pointed out where we would be staying in the St Mary's Cabin down the drive a little further. We stayed and chatted with Donna for a bit and she let us know Brenda was off the property, but would be back shortly. We did not get the chance to meet Brenda’s husband as he was out of state during our stay. Brenda, Donna and Gerry were all extremely nice and made us feel welcome during our entire stay. Gerry cooked some amazing meals for us during our stay. We ate dinner twice and breakfast twice at the Sugar Tree Inn. Every meal was prepared perfectly and we actually changed our dinner plans the second night so we could eat there again. Gerry used to own an Italian restaurant and a pizzeria. He loves what he does and is very good at it! He will make adjustments to the meals for anyone with food allergies or any other special needs for their meals, just let them know in advance. We were also lucky to be there for the first weekend they brought back an old Sugar Tree Inn recipe for Sugar Tree Lodge Chocolate Whiskey Pie, amazing! The room was beautiful and had a great view from the back deck of the woods going down the side of the mountain. Everything was very clean and inviting when we arrived for our stay. The room and bathroom were very spacious in our cabin. The only minor complaint I can come up with would be that the water pressure for the shower was a bit low. Other than that, everything was perfect! The Sugar Tree Inn is located close to Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking, wineries, breweries, cideries and much more for a great stay in the mountains. Our hosts have only recently taken over at the Sugar Tree Inn, but it is apparent that they enjoy it and want all of their guests to have an amazing visit. We will definitely be visiting the Sugar Tree Inn again!

My husband and I spent a comfortable night at the Sugar Tree Inn- we were greeted immediately upon arrival, and were warmly welcomed by the proprietor’s Brenda and her husband Kevin. Our room had a beautiful view, a comfortable king sized bed, and also a basket of a variety of goodies waiting for us to snack on before we had our evening meal. We met a lovely couple, who arrived a few minutes after we did and we ended up having a very stimulating conversation and an amazing dinner at the inn with them- ( that Jerry prepared) - the next morning we had breakfast burritos (that Jerry created) that were so plentiful and delicious! As we dined we had even more riveting conversation with our newly made friends and lodge-mates (Nancy & Frank)- what an unexpected gift they were! Brenda packed us a fantastic lunch bag - that was consumed (picnic style) on our journey home. We had a splendid time all around- If we end up driving through the Blue Ridge Parkway again we will definitely stay at the Sugar Tree Inn! Thanks to all of you for making us feel so welcomed and comfortable! May your B&B continue along the path of good fortune, and your new life in the world of hospitality be the fun and prosperous adventure you were all hoping for! Good luck to you all and best wishes! We stayed at Sugar Tree while we were in the area doing some hiking. When I had read about Sugar Tree, it make me look forward to their dinners ! I can't recommend it enough ! Jerry's cooking is AMAZING !! The humming birds on the porch are mesmerizing, and the sunset over the mountains is beautiful. It is such a comfortable, restful place to be. We hope to make the trip again in the fall and stay at Sugar Tree. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did !

We had a peaceful and restful time at this lovely little family-run inn in the woods right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's near some great hiking (White Rocks Falls, Crabtree Falls, St Mary's Wilderness) and a nice vineyard with amazing views. Our cabin was cozy and we enjoyed reading on the deck overlooking the woods, and listening to the birds. The owners are new and still figuring things out, but very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our breakfast each day and yummy dinner our second night. Recommend!
