Jones Run Falls

I did this hike in April 2022. The weather was pleasant and waterfalls were in full flow. It was surprising to note there were not many hikers on this beautiful trail. It felt like Hidden gem. We completed this hike in about 3 hours which included 20 minute stop at waterfall. I intend to return to this hike in summer when i can take a dip in the holes.

Nice moderate hike. Easy enough for ages 6 and older. I think it was about 1.5 miles down to the falls. You can even venture down to the Doyle falls which should be 3.1 miles down (total).

Recommend doing circuit backwards then sign at beginning of trail for an easier hike. 6.5 miles to see three amazing waterfalls can easily do in 4 hours with many stops. One of the most beautiful hikes in Shenandoah, you get rough terrain, steep inclines, and all along the water.

Jones Run was pretty easy and can be done within 3-4 hours if you're looking for a quick hike! There are 2 waterfalls so don't be tricked by the smaller one right before you get to the main one. We brought snacks to eat at the bottom and relaxed for a bit which I recommend because the hike back up can be tiresome. Suggestion : Buy hiking boots!! LLBean has really comfy ones. My hiking boots saved me from tripping while my friend fell a few times because his sneakers didn't have traction.
