I like this course. I honestly do. I live about an hour away. I booked a 130 tee time for my son and I. Showed up and there’s a tournament happening and they are playing in groups of 8. The guy at the clubhouse said we were looking at a 6-7 hour round. There wasn’t even enough daylight left for that. I said we were leaving and he offered no refund, no apology, nothing. If you can’t accommodate players, don’t make tee times! It’s going to take a lot to get me back.

Second time playing this course and it was about the same as the first. Not an overly difficult course and the grass is in great shape but I do wish the greens were a little quicker. Both times they have been a little slow and the break that you see is not the break you get as a result. Overall the course is in great shape so I would recommend it, just be ready for slower greens.

This course is the best course with in 50 miles+. It has different tees to challenge everyone. The greens are small (I believe the second smallest in the state of WV) which makes iron control and shot placement very important. I was a member her for over 15 year and the people here are great. I miss them all.

Good food, nice view of the river if you eat out on the deck, the staff is friendly and nice, the food prices are a little high but not terrible.

Closest nice hotel is in Gallipolis. Either the Super 8 or the Hampton inn. If you are into old traditional hotels, the Lowe Hotel in Point Pleasant may suit you. It is dated but interesting. The Finleys' are the proprietors.
