This was our first time here. He had a waterfront site and 4 days of perfect weather. With our "America the beautiful" senior pass our cost was $14.00 per night. There is no fast way to get here but it's well worth it. A nice quiet relaxing campground. We will come back.

What a gorgeous campground! We stayed on Loop C where there was a lake view from anywhere you looked. So beautiful. Many reviews talk about roads leading in. We have a pick up truck with pop up camper and had no problems. The staff is friendly and the common areas (bathrooms, beach area and picnic shelter) were spotless. Nearly every site was occupied and reservations are a must. We have already booked time in July and October. This place is a jewel!

A beautiful and very clean campground. The bath house facilities were exceptional. If you are not familiar with the area, beware that the last 5-6 miles to the campground (off of route 57) can be a little challenging. This is a mountain-forest, smooth paved road, but winding and sharp curves in some places. Caution is advised, especially if you are towing an RV.

There are two, 31 and 26. 31 is the closest to restroom but 26 is a more flat site.
Yes they have 3 of 4 yes you can also go to the Corps of engineer Virginia North Carolina and it will tell you where all the hiking trails all along the whole lake beautiful place beautiful Lake

You not supposed bring your own, but they do have firewood on site for you to use. We often collect our own around the campsite too.
They do close at the end of October but they do have an honor box for some of the lower site to use. Electric only. There is no water hook up in the off season.
No luck off the pier. Kind of hit and miss in a boat. They have quite a few tournaments yearly
Each person has to have a separate fishing license. You can purchase them online for 1 day
