I relocated to Roanoke, Virginia following medical school for residency training. I’ve been here 4 years. All of the previous times I’ve dined at this restaurant I’ve had pleasant experiences. I had family visiting in town (my father, a retired veteran, my mother, and my grandmother) and brought them to this establishment hoping for a similar experience I’ve had before. Unfortunately even prior to entering the restaurant I was met with a rude server with an incredibly nasty attitude. We asked two clarifying questions- 1) Given no hostess was at the stand, do we seat ourselves? and 2) Can she clarify the guest FITA password for my toddlers ipad. Both questions were met with unprofessional responses. Oddly, I didn’t witness similar hostility towards other guests from this particular server. The hostess once available was great. Our server was great. The food was great. The other guests were great. No manager on site. Unfortunately those two experiences discolored an otherwise pleasant dining experience.. on Fathers Day and Juneteenth nonetheless. I served tables prior to medical school. I get how hard the job is. Regardless, it is unacceptable to demonstrate such poor customer service. I am incredibly disappointed in my experience here and will think twice about returning. I truly hope this is not the experience for other minority patrons.

Off the beaten path, quaint dining option. Enjoyed the outdoor patio until the rains came, then moved in to the porch. Decent food and very accommodating.

Absolutely horrible food barbecue tasted like it was cooked on top of a gasoline fueled fire and then soaked in vinegar. At least I hope that's why the bun was converted into a loogie/doughy state. Mind blown. Hmu me and 90% of the population can teach you how to make edible pulled pork. Just sad.

Just terrible! No domestic beer on tap, 3 choices of soda. The outdoor chairs are bent to the point that sitting in them is torture. Server was slow and rude. When we did get our food it was burt. My daughters chicken tenders didn't photo well, but I could see they were cooked in smokey oil. I said nothing but she confirmed it with on bite. "Daddy these are nasty"! My patty melt was charred, then the less charred side was plated downwards confirming they knew and didn't care. The fries were surprisingly good. We ate a few. Waitress showed no concern when I told her were not eating this. No offer to remake it. Pics of plates are as we left them. 28 bucks for 2 beers, a coke, and a half order of fries consumed.

Am not sure

Does Fork In The Alley cater to events? Are they friendly and professional? I have an event coming up on Crystal Springs Dr and would like food delivered. Thanks
