I have lived at Rowhaus in Oakland since November of 2020. Gallery459 manages the property. I love living here. A recent experience illustrates why. I was headed to work and noticed my front door was not locking. I called Gallery459 and selected urgent issues. Going to work with an unlocked door is not a good thing. Gabriel picked up my urgent issue and said he would take care of ASAP. In no time my issue was resolved and my apartment was secured due to the excellent service provided by Gabriel and Gallery459. If you are looking for an apartment in Oakland make this awesome leasing company your first and last choice!

I've been trying contacting Mason at Hive for the past month now. Sent in email, submitted inquiry via online, zillow, apartments.com, etc. Tried requesting a live tour/ in person but zero availability even up until November? No call backs, no response, doesn't even answer the phone.

Nightmare management. They've rebranded a few times to bury reviews but ultimately roll up to FPI Management. I'd highly recommend googling FPI before you consider viewing or living at this complex - they're involved in multiple class action lawsuits for defrauding tenants, and are notorious for trying to withhold deposits at move-out as several other reviewers have noted. I was warned of this by a lawyer I had review our lease, and a local judge who regularly dealt with claims involving FPI, but unfortunately not until after we'd signed our initial lease. You can also tell that several of the reviews on here with 5 stars are fake - check out Anna Garcia and Pharaoh C's profiles and you'll see they've both left copy-pastes of the same review on several properties that are also under FPI Management. ______ EDIT December 1, 2021: After taking them to court they were ordered to return our deposit less cleaning fees. Thankfully their own incompetence worked in our favor, but 100% not worth the hassle to live in such a mediocre building. There are plenty of apartments operated through decent management companies and private landlords in the area who focus on building good relationships with tenants instead of trying to nickel-and-dime you into oblivion without any justifiable reason.

A suggestion: if you do not have 3br apartments available for tours do not allow people to make appointments via your website. A huge waste of our time that could have been prevented with a simple courtesy call before we arrived.
