This place….. my friend and I were on a month long road trip crossing several states and stayed at over 10 campgrounds in all. This one was the worst by far. I say that because it was the only one I felt unsafe at. I pulled to the office because that’s what you normally do to check in at campgrounds. We pulled in and everyone was staring at us like we had 3 heads, I assume because we were interrupting their party at 9 pm. They seemed to be unsure what we were doing, so I told them we had a reservation and were checking in. They got the manager, which I do have to say she was very friendly and wanted to be accommodating to us. We got to our site, and went to the bathrooms. On the way to the bathrooms which was just right across from our spot a man started hollering at us and he was holding what appeared to be sledge hammer or axe, maybe he was cutting wood? He then asked where our spot was… I of course did not reply. We got into the bathrooms and they really needed some work. We quickly just brushed our teeth went to our van and locked up for the night. Thankfully this was just a one night passing by stay. I just think the park needs a lot of work and revamping because the manager was sweet and seemed to want to help. Hope they put some work back into the park!
