The last saving grace at Estrella. The community was great 15 years ago but is now declined and it’s essentially low income housing. Oh well it is the west valley…the home of warehouses and drugstores.

South Lake was amazing tonight, cool breeze, warm temperatures, nice people walking by. Glad my wife and I picked Estrella 23 years ago and couldn't imagine leaving... updated... new palms and trees are making the lakes even more inviting!

Place is clean and tidy. Trash cans are emptied regularly. Dog friendly.

Honestly my favorite place to go- it's a beautiful, clean park tucked away in the Estrella Residential Community. There's a park, volley ball courts, tennis courts, large partly shaded playground, plenty of picnic tables under little awnings, grills, a sandy beach, and a lot more. Definitely a gem up here.

It's recommended that nothing swims in the lake, the water is reclaimed so it's not potable and could be dangerous. There is posted signage against pets going in as well.

If you a resident of Estrella Mountain Ranch, yes. But, it is a waste of time. It hasn't had anything worth catching since I was a kid in the 90's. Since they switched to reclaimed water the algea blooms kill off all the fish every summer. I think they stopped stocking it.
