I’m not a Sushi fan, but was invited by friends who are…they liked it ok, some of it seemed quite chewy and that person didn’t enjoy! I got the Japanese Curry Seafood Udon (mussels were very chewy and tough—idk, never had mussels that were like that 🤔)! Shrimp was quite good. Too much noodle for me though…oh well. It’s a very small place, not great ambience or comfortable, but there’s a patio that has more seating. Bathrooms are unisex. Parking is very tough and very tight to get in/out of the parking lot off Central! Give it a try, you might like it.

This place is really good. They have a great selection of sushi rolls and Sashimi. I ordered a bunch of stuff. I don’t remember all. I have done Dine in and delivery.

Food was great, delicious Nigiris, salmon, all tunas, octopus very fresh(not on my last visit, actually might have got me sick) and yummy. Good for a mid range sushi! 80 bucks for 2. 2nd visit 01/19/2022, service was let down, only 2 servers, patio and indoor open! Poor management, took 45 min just to get our server to stop by our table to order, I had to go inside to look for her. Next time you are short staff reduce number of tables you are serving, faster turnaround, happier customers! 👎 Will I come back? 99%

Writing this review because of how amazing the salmon skin roll was! I’m always on the hunt for a good crispy salmon roll and Yama definitely surpassed my expectations. There’s a lunch special from 11-2pm which involves a roll and 5 pieces of nigiri for $12, and then every day from 2-6 there’s a happy hour menu. I came at 1:45 and got the best of both worlds. Probably worth 5 stars by most people’s standards, and they are definitely there. However I’ve had a really mean server the first time I came (today my server was lovely) and the parking is extremely difficult due to limited spaces — hence my 4 stars. Will probably be back to rate 5 stars and also try more of their specialty rolls because they all look super aesthetically pleasing. Seems like a great date spot, love the open patio.
