Amazing staff and facility. My poor pup ate some grapes that had grown over from my neighbors yard and they took every precaution to make sure that he was okay and I am SO thankful to the staff for being so kind to him and getting him through this. Don’t hesitate to bring your pet here, emergency or not 😊

Our 6 month old puppy broke his leg playing in the backyard a few days ago. Panicked and desperate, we took him to several locations in our area. In complete shock we were turned away, as there were no surgeons available. One place even told us our puppy would have to wait a week to be seen! After calling a few other places and hearing the same thing, we finally connected with Sage in Concord, success!!! After a sleepless night, they got him in the very next morning. And the experience and care we received was incredible! The entire care team from start to finish was knowledgable, communicative, compassionate and kind. Everything was very transparent which is a sigh of relief when you're very upset about your injured fur baby. Dr. Dosch was top notch!! We cannot begin to say enough good things about Sage in Concord and will go straight here in the future for quality care for our dogs!!

When my cat became suddenly ill Sage was there to provide quick and effective treatment. I thought he had a broken paw, but it turned out he had a blood clot, which can be fatal! The doctor was able to diagnose and treat him within 1 hour! They even cleaned him up after he soiled his carrier. The emergency drop-off process is very smooth and easy, just let them know you're coming ahead of time. The COVID process involves drive-up and hand-off of your pet right from your car, no need to go inside. Most communication is done over the phone. Dr. Beverly was exceptional, very friendly and knowledgeable. He explained exactly what was wrong and what future treatment options might look like. They offered follow-up testing with a cardiologist to help better understand my cat's condition and how to treat it. He even sent my cat's X-rays to another doctor for a second option. Spike is now on the road to recovery and has already improved noticeably within 24 hours. I felt the prices were reasonable compared to other clinics. Plus they have top-notch staff and seem very reliable and compassionate. I trust Sage for honest and effective treatment. I would definitely take my cat here again for further treatment.

Highly recommend Sage for any pet emergencies. We were treated kindly, expediently and the care the veterinarian gave our dog was excellent. They are well staffed and everyone we encountered was competent, caring and seemed to be happy working there. We will take our pets there for any future emergency needs.

In my 32 years of medical experience mostly in Trauma Centers I I can say it first hand., find the entrance to this place for your first time in an emergency is difficult, my wife had to carry her 55 lb service dog around the building to the back emergency room entrance when she rang the bell while our dog was dying in her arms. Upon ringing the bell the staff came out and started arguing with her that she should call First, and then began to argue over who should carry the animal in. What? There are no cardiologists oncologists or specialists in this place nor do they have the equipment to handle true emergencies. This is a good place to go if your dog has a rash or an eating disorder. Do your research find a facility with CT, pet scans MRI as well as cardiologists oncologists intoxicologist 24/7. Delays in care killed our dog.

I think my dog has the dog flu and I don't have any idea what to do for him.... He has a temp, keeps dry heaving, but produces some mucus, eyes all watery....

I have a dog with a thundering bark. Does Sage debark by using Laser so as the dog doesn't have future throat problems? As I understand the dog can still bark but it's not so loud.

Consider training your dog instead of shooting lasers into their throat

We have a fifteen year old lab that is not doing well. She has all of the signs if very old age. How do we deal with the fact that she needs to go to "doggie heaven"? Thank you.

There are mobile specialists around the bay area that help with this. Here is one: https://www.ccpetservices.com/inhomeeuthanasia

I stepped on my dogs foot and I think I broke her nail, what do I do? Please help quick

Dravyn | Aug 28, 2018
JoshTheRat | Aug 27, 2021

Well start by checking the damage if it is part of the nail and not a lot of it i would trim it so it not jagged but if it is bleeding i would take it to the vet quikly so it does not get infected.
