Very cool to be able to touch authentic mining equipment and to see down a 1,900 ft mining shaft. Highly recommend. Suitable for all ages.

One of the best wooden head frames you'll ever see. There are many wooden head frames left anywhere. This frame sits over a 1900 ft deep shaft. You can look straight down the shaft. This is a three compartment shaft. Definitely a cool thing to see if you've never seen anything related to underground mining.

My 10 year old grandson was fascinated by the mine machinery and enjoyed Jerome Historical Park as well. He was not so enthused about the beautiful tarantula we saw. 😅

Really cool place to check out if you like history and something a little different. Supposedly the 3rd most haunted place in the US? We didnt plan on coming here, it was a spare of the moment stop but now we plan on coming back to spend more time here. Most of my pictures are of the mine, if your not afraid, you can walk over the glass covering the 1,900 foot shaft!
