Very small, but a nice little place. Great place if you like to walk around and look at old places. If you are lucky to catch the store open on saturdays... its great to just see all the old things in there!

We visited Harmony Hall to take our dog for a hike on the Mountains-to-Sea Trail. Harmony Hall is one of the oldest residences in North Carolina, built in the 1760s by Colonel James Richardson. The house itself has very limited hours (2 to 4 on Sundays only), but the grounds were open. A number of old historical buildings from the area have been moved here and restored. A great place to learn about this history of the area and go for a hike. I'd like to visit again when the Harmony Hall is open.

A little piece of history Nestled away. The committee in charge are super friendly. And the lady they have dressing up every 2nd weekend of the month is the most AWESOME woman EVER. (Ok. Little biased, shes my high school history teacher🀣🀣) but it was fun for my kids to see. My oldest feel in love with the history of the place, my youngest feel in love with the nature there. Even got to try rattlesnake meat while we were there. New experience that's for sure.
