This place excuse me for expressing my feelings out loud but they have too many unprofessional black workers in one area. I use to live in Emeryville CA, and this is not the first incident with this establishment. I went there last week some time with my daughter to shop around a bit and grab some sandwiches. My daughter and I get too the deli it takes maybe 5-7 minutes to be helped due to the line. An Asian, worker starts to help me but when I noticed she got my bread size wrong I ask if she could change it too a foot long for the both, lol, the little lady frowned up her face and rolled her eyes at me as she turned too switch out. I politely told her that it was okay since you have and attitude I didn't feel comfortable with her continuing to make our sandwiches. Why did I say that? Because after I stated that none of the other worker's would help me absolutely none and there were about four other worker's. I became agitated my daughter kept screaming and crying I walked to the front and told the first manager that I could get any help from deli and she immediately play called in for a manager named David, she sent me to cash register 1 to wait for David. Had I heard him passing by telling someone else his name David, would have passed me up. I briefly told David, my situation and he apologized and stated that they been having issues with that team and it's being addressed. Mind you one of the other worker's that did not help me a black tall girl with weave in her hair walked up to the front to the very first black manager that I initially spoke with and stood there for about a good 10 minutes before I just left the store without purchasing anything. Thanks to the excellent customer service that Lucky's, on 3rd and e 18th St in Oakland CA on the other side of the lake. Thanks again Lucky's, you guy's are still number one in my book.

This is the worst Safeway I’ve ever been to. The fresh foods are always spoiled, they don’t carry many items, and what they do carry is often out of stock. Shop local instead!

I have been shopping here for the past 9 years and most trips were a chore and then some. Today however I met a new employee Mr Salazar. He went above and beyond my expectations. The other employees could learn something from him on how costomer service should be. Thank you so much Mr. Salazar, you made my trip to the grocery store enjoyable .

Store was clean and stocked staff was cool as folk. I just feel like the discount shopping experience costs the same as Albertsons and I can't do math well enough to prove it.

I'm pretty sure they do, call and ask for customer service desk. That's where I saw one bought on Thursday.
Yes

You can sell Safeway or pack n save gift cards if they are 10$ or less (usually). Now that's what they say, but I've had a star bucks cash me out 20$ for a card and like 15$ or whatever the change was from a20$ gc (gift card). It really depends on the cashier and how much of a dueshe (doosh!) bag they want to be. Good luck!
When u get some money
Not sure but I would guess 9-5 typically. Maybe even 7 but I'm sure by now you've called the store
Yes
There is a stand with a lot of gift cards. On their you have to ask a check out person they will tell you where to go in the storw
Pak 'N Save was acquired by Safeway in 1980. Safeway was incorporated in 1915. Today, Safeway operates as a banner of Albertsons Companies.
Probably not, this store is pretty low end. Try Berkeley bowl for such stuff
In the produce section. It's bag and weight self serve. There are some packages in the candy section as well.
They used to. Sorry, I don't know for, sure about now. Try calling customer service.
Depends on the size of the bag, a small bag of Matchlight. Is around 7-8 bucks!
Sounds like something you should call the store and ask. This is a user supported forum, not a connection to the business.
They do. If they are out, Michael's is a minute down the street.
