I recently took a two-day class from Deanna and it was just great!! She was welcoming, her studio is awesome and her teaching-style is wonderful. There were 4 of us in the class and we all ended up with a finished hat by the end of the second day. I would recommend her classes to anybody wanting to learn from scratch or just to gather more information about hat-making.

I love the classes I have taken at DeAnna's studio. She has a knack for being radically inclusive of entirely different skill sets in her students, from those who have made hats and can sew, to those with far fewer skills. She helps her students transition from their vestigial creative thoughts to hats, a wearable art form. I have taken individual as well as group classes, there are advantages to each. In addition to the learning and creative process, her classes are incredibly fun. In addition to hats, I have made hand dyed silk flowers and can now make these at home.
