I took a look at Burgundy Palms aparments trying to find a place to call home and I have found the one. I've been living here for a couple months now and it's very comfortable and a very safe place. The manager is super friendly & always greets you with a smile. Both the manager and the maintenance are very helpful & tend to my needs, they are quick to attend to any problems that arise . The grounds and facilities are kept clean every day by the friendly maintenance man. It truly is a beautiful neighborhood with parks and trails & it's also very convenient for those who have kids since we have 2 elementary schools across the street & del Valle high school is within walking distance.

I do not recommend this apartments. First of all they gave us a moving in date, and then call me again not to ask but to inform me that since I still had days left on my previous apartment they would take longer to give me the keys, I had to fight them so they could have it ready the day they told me but until 5PM, so they costed me money as I had everything packed just sitting there on the moving truck, I had to stay there as they worked on the apartment in order to attend the utility workers which were scheduled to come. So the very first day I was sitting there in my car, doing nothing but waiting for the utility appointments all while the sitter I had already paid for watched my kids. Did they give me any credit for this? No. They did not care about it. Throughout our painfully long year living there, the manager was not once on the office during office hours, every call would go to voice mail and I had to be constantly checking to catch one of the many managers that we had. There is ONE maintenance worker for the 80+ apartments in the community and sometimes they send him to other communities, so maintenance takes FOREVER to come and fix anything in the apartment. The appliances are not that old but they constantly stop working, my fridge, microwave, washer and bathroom sinks broke while I lived there, and what I definitely hated about this place is that they won’t ever get a new appliance for you, even if it is needed because they have a contract with GE or something, and if something breaks they WAIT for the broken part to be mailed, and then for maintenance to be available, and if the part is not available to be bought then you have to wait for weeks so higher management can authorize them to replace it with a lower end one. My fridge was leaking for 2 months and they were aware of that, my food would rot because of the moisture inside but did they care? Nope. They gave me the run around for 2 months for an essential appliance. Funny thing? They would blame me everytime something broke down, and is funny cause in my old apartment only my fridge broke and I had a new one in TWO DAYS. The air conditioner in the units is a joke, you can listen to every noise from the neighbors NEXT building, you can smell the neighbors smoking marijuana daily (manager didnt do anything about that either), oh and you get “Final notices” for “Rocks” because the rocks on the hallways are on the sidewalk from people walking on them ... therefore landscaping is something they expect you to do and you get scolded if you don’t. You have to mail the payment and do not take payments in office or website, not convenient at all. We were foolish enough to try and buy a house from Tropicana homes so we could get out of this place, thinking maybe is just this community that has really bad customer service and experience, and the realtor did not call us once in two months lol so for that reason I would never ever do any business with Tropicana Properties. To summarize, we would never live here again, and do not recommend it to anyone.
