I am currently a tenant at the program THP PARENTING and its all a set-up for FAILURE.A client attacked me with a knife in front of my daughter and because i had to protect my family they gave me a 30 day notice knowing my age is hard for allot of resources and shelters in SJ.Im trying so hard to fight it because i have no were to go and i was not in the wrong i try all day calling board members and still no call.I know the BILL WILSON already had their minds made up because they didn't want to help me after my age maxed out of the program which by the way is a dead end because so many of u single women and children end up back on the streets.BW needs to be fair stop having favorite clients who they help more than others. AND start running a consistent, drug free and safe program.

Theyre a great place for kids who don't have anywhere to go, they help out with alot of resources. The staff is really nice, the food is excellent, and they're really supportive when you need someone.

I was a Bill Wilson kid for many years. I loved sister circle and groups they provide along with food, laundry, lockers and case managers that care! I really love BW they helped change my life for the better! They invest in the kids so much, Bill Wilson gave me a second shot at life. Bill Wilson Center hired me as a staff member and helped me be employable and grow professionally! Bill Wilson hired my threw the peer mentor program and guided me on my career path. I'll never forget the walk and talks, camping trips and the talks they would have with me about changing my life. I'am truly grateful. Even as an employee they helped me threw my Mothers death with counseling. Big shot out to Janet Child and Ivis Pena Cooper! I could keep going but it would take all day...

didn't help at all, took over a week past the original date they said they'd call me to get a call back. then still couldnt get a counseling appointment. People call because they're suffering so thanks alot for no help.

Yes, they do.
Call licensing! Don’t call the actual Bill Wilson Center because they won’t do anything and then make excuses.
You would need to go down to 576 valley way Milpitas California, and speak with the director Sonya Scott
Yes they do.My daughter ran away for 2 wks and was spiraling out of control. I recently sent my 14 yr old daughter there. Shes been home now almost 3 wks. I only kept her there for 2 wks. Amber was our family counselor while she was there. I also have had my daughter in the Uplift program. I love it. I highly recommend looking into uplift. They have been great with all there support for both of us.
No, unfortunately have to be 18.
There are Parenting Transitional Housing Programs through Bill Wilson. I am not certain of the qualifications but they run out of the Drop in Center on 2nd street in San Jose
18+ they won't but if you're under that they'll call just to let them know and then they will try and reunify with counseling for everyone
They take ages down to 12. I know cause I've lived there
Its a youth shelter
How old are you? Do you have children?
