Great place to hike, but be warned the offroad trails are rough. We went on a 4/10 trail, and it was continuous rock crawling. If you could camp in the park this wouldn't be a huge deal, but since you need to be out by nightfall this is an issue. Additionally, there are tons of trails that are not the correct path and not marked as "do not go here". Generally speaking, this site needs significantly more development or just more documentation.

Nice hike but we had to go to a museum to see the actual trackways. Apparently there were some still in the park, but you have to know where they are to find them. We stayed on the labeled path and that was our mistake.

Nice trails, well-marked. We did the Discovery Trail, a loop trail along the riverbed and around a mountain that was about 2.5 miles.

What a great experience it was to drive more than 15 miles back behind the Robledo mountains in Dania New Mexico. Mine in the track Waze in the wash areas and see in the back of Picacho Peak was one of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever seen. It’s a must see if you’re in the area but you better have a little four-wheel-drive or a four wheeler to get back in the roads are very rough make sure you bring all your accessories just in case.

No they are not. If you want to see the fossils I suggest the Museum of Nature and Science downtown.
