A great local museum. Features interesting exhibits about local native Americans, early settlers and railroad history. It has informative natural history exhibits about nearby Mt Shasta. There's a nice model railroad setup. Great for kids: there are various interactive exhibits. Apparently a labor of love by numerous local volunteers. Should visit if you are in the Mt Shasta area.

The ladies at the museum are so nice and very informative. Learned so much about the local history. Very impressed with the Native American displays. Thank you!!

This museum is truly a hidden gem. It's off the beaten path and pretty small, but it was amazing. The museum is free, but donations are welcome. Adults can learn a lot about the history of the area, through exhibits and displays. And, each section of the museum has fund and educational activities for children of all ages, STEAM and history. And, along with the museum, you can visit the oldest trout hatchery west of the Mississippi just outside the museum.

VERY informative, with a lot of rooms to roam. There were some interactive things for kids to do, and quite the variety of photos, artifacts, and history. My favorite part had to be the murals throughout the whole museum.

Thanks again Siskiyou for the reply back. Could you please, possibly give me a like for my questions. It helps us Google Maps Guides to get more tools to help the public.
Yes. The museum is a separate entity, yet is on State property, so we are bound by their timeline. We will open as soon as the State considers it safe to do so.
We have activities for people of all ages to engage with.
