I am writing this review for my elderly mother, she took her car to sun auto for them to diagnose a leak in the engine. On the first visit they steam cleaned the engine and put dye in the oil for $100. On the second visit they told her that her power steering was bad. They 'fixed' that for $1000. The car was still leaking when it was returned. Next they told her that it was the radiator hose which they replaced. Still the car was leaking. Then they told her that the leak was from the rack and pinion which was replaced. Still the car was leaking. They then told her that her timing gasket was bad and wanted another $1700. When she asked for a detailed quote she received a document that simply stated 'timing cover gasket' and nothing else, not a price, not anything. At this point I stepped in and took her car to another shop only to find that the power steering pump was leaking severely and they showed me where bolts were not even tight and the power steering pump is wobbling, and that the rack and pinion is missing brackets. They also found a 'patch' on the oil pan which is now leaking as well. Not only will my mother, who has been a sun auto customer since they opened the Craig Road location, not be bringing her car there again, we will also be taking them to small claims court. This business discriminates against the elderly and women in general.

I chose Sun Auto because I had issues engine issues with my car before. Car dealership said it was a cracked head, after having the brand new car less than a year. Wanted a second opinion so I chose Sun Auto who actually showed my husband there was no cracked head. This time t needed the front brakes done . They told me It was metal on metal, and they wouldn’t give me a print out of the supposedly free diagnostic. Women will drive to 5 or 6 places before they settle on one. They were talking $626 out the door. No, I went right down the street and got it done for $379 with a life time brake pad warranty. The people I chose gave me the same price my car dealership did. I didn’t choose them because they were over booked for the next week and a half. I’m Sure Sun Auto does good work I just believe they take advantage of women. And everyone from my son, brother and neighbor says they are charging to much

The new manager name , Joe very rude, disrespectful, a hater same as the other old guy named Woody. Didn’t do to fix the problem on my car and still have the guts to tell me to have the dealer diagnose my car when I paid this shop almost $7,000 gave my car back to me without fixing the problem I have on this car when I brought it to this shop. Did gave me my car still with Engine Light On so I them and told me to bring it back to the shop which I did. Up to this date my car problem hasn’t fixed yet . This shop ripped me off. That manager was so rude urging with me with his (manager, Joe) loud voice so I was so stress and I cry. I am 74 years old that person doesn’t respect his paying customer. The previous manager (Scott) was nice and calm. I don’t recommend this shop location if the manager will still be Joe, the hater. I didn’t ask for refund but he still mentioning to me about the refund, what I want was for him to fix the problem cause I already paid them, also they just replaced the parts without my knowledge and billed me right away. Was this because I am a old woman easy to be fooled by this people? I hope that the higher up personnel will talk to Joe to have a training on how to respect and deal with customer with respect regardless of whom he is dealing with as to race and gender. Also that Other staff name Woody, very rude to me. I hope , I will appreciate if you can correct this type of behavior for I paid $7K with the problem on the car still not fixed.

I have used this facility to service my vehicle for years, but unfortunately since last year it seems as if the service has taken a nose dive. The staff is not as friendly, the appointment system provides late provides late notifications days after your scheduled appointment, and there is little to no communication about your service once you pay. This was the 1st time upon picking up my car I had to call to see if my car was ready and then they did not provide me any feedback about future maintenance of my vehicle. This may be a little thing but to me it is a lack or decline in customer service.
