My insurance changed 3/1/22. I am allowed what is medically necessary for my ostomy by prescription and notes. To solve my not having supplies I was told by a customer service rep to try hanging and drying my ostomy bags to reuse them. Since 3/1/22, multiple phone calls have been placed weekly, I have not resolved getting the ostomy supplies I need to live. I have had to tape zip lock bags over leaking ostomy bags, I am afraid of going out in public and leaking. I am less the whole, this is unacceptable. Customer Service- no follow thru on problems, request managers - never available, they will get back to you. Sometimes after 3-6 calls you will get a manager after telling your story to yet another stranger from day 1, and it doesn’t change the outcome. Management- no last names, no contact information to follow up with the same person. A roulette game with your life. The one person that was helpful with a full name and extension, I was told is not in the position I thought and my call could not be transferred to him. But he is employed, so why is he still working if he is not who I thought or did something so wrong to a customer. Weird??? Keep stating never received notes and prescriptions from my MD office since 3/1/22. In July stated prescription and notes in my chart from a fax on 7/19/22 and are good for one year. My order arrives wrong and the next person states there are no notes and prescription from July. This manager stated there is a prescription from April. Why has every one else denied having a prescription up until July which disappeared and now there is an April prescription? My MD office has documented dates and leaves me messages when faxes are sent to Byram over and over. If you keep losing a patient’s paperwork because you do not like the reimbursement from the provider, is the goal to drive these patients to another company and keep only private paying patients and higher reimbursement insurance company patients? I think a deep dive into their deceptive practices is needed to see if one person is lucky enough to receive all the bad care. Or, if this is an unsettling trend that is impacting people with a certain insurance to increase their profits by driving certain patients away or forcing them to pay hugely elevated costs out of pocket for medical supplies so they can live their lives after giving up fighting for what is medically necessary?

Edited my original bad review to a 5 star. I spoke to a customer service rep today. She was super nice and helpful and put a rush on my daughters order.

Received a call from Megan from Byram Healthcare that the prior authorization was approved and she wanted to place an order. I then called back several times, noone answered the phone after 45+ minutes i hung up. I finally was able to talk to some guy today, who said he did not see any insurance authorizations. So yes, I have to start from scratch with new orders. Have not started with them and im already disappointed. Will go with Louis & Clark in Springfield. Much better and responsible supply company.

Absolutely beyond frustrated, tried to order colostomy supplies, was told the codes for two products changed, or no problem. Receive the order, it’s two completely different products. Contact Byram to be told it’s because my insurance doesn’t cover the products I wanted. Weird because I’ve ordered them in the past but ok. Call insurance, am told that’s not true, call Byram, explain the situation and am told it’s because they have a contract with my insurance company, and they can’t sell my the products I ORDERED without an “override”. When I ask why these other products were sent to me, and told those are products that were “recommended” based on my insurance. If it’s a “recommended” product, why do I need an override to order what I want. When I explain my frustrations I was told “I’m trying to help you here,” no understanding what so ever, and the products they sent are even remotely close to what I ordered, or the amount I ordered. I will be looking for a new ostomy supplier for all future orders

I asked my doctor to forward a prescription to you for my pull up briefs but I have heard nothing. I have Medicare and Medicaid for insurance. Do I have to do anything before you fill a script?

It is better to place your order first and then Byram will pursue the prescription from the doctor.
