One of THE premier venues to attend musical performances. Guests and musicians crow about the acoustics and the refined architecture has a very strong sense of elegant history.

Stunningly beautiful inside with amazing, crisp acoustics. Wonderful place to hear live music, with plenty of bathrooms, a bar, an elevator. Choice of many places to park and many places within walking distance for a great meal before the show.

Went there for a wedding reception. Had been there for our kids graduations and other programs, but never a wedding reception. It felt a little odd to have a reception in the Great Hall, but it worked. The staff was polite, informed and friendly. The hostess was "on top of" everything. The wait staff was efficient and diligent. Only good things to say about the staff. I'm not sure but I think the Caterer was contracted in. Food was excellent and there was plenty. MC was professional, witty, attentive. Good experience. Thank you.

It was wonderful to be in an audience and hear live music. Everyone had to show their vaccine card and wear masks inside but it made attending less stressful.

Hi Mary, Thank you so much for reaching out! The Hall has a second entrance, located on Waldo Street, with a walkway and automatic door for ease of entry. The Waldo Street entrance gives direct access to our elevators, which bring visitors right up to the second and third floors of the Hall. There are also accessible restrooms in the building. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us as we are always happy to help! If it's easier, here is a direct line to one of our team members, Melissa: 508.752.5608, x240. Have a great day, and we hope to see you at Mechanics Hall soon!
Didn't know they did them. But you can ask your controll officer when you take your test in Lawrence to designate you a spot there. They will contact mechanics hall and then get back to you with a date and time in the mail. I had mine at Old Sturbridge Village on the 4th of July. If you can wait and not get removed from the country it's well worth it; sorry I don't have the full deets.
The Hall itself does not have parking space but there's parking all around on the street and multiple parking guarages not too far. You might have to pay though $10-20
there is metered parking along streets and several lots nearby (one across the street)
Yes, there are 2 elevators in the building addition in the back entrance alcove, if you enter the front doors, go straight down the hallway to the back, there are a few stairs. For wheel chair access, enter from the rear, off Waldo Street.
