It's one hell of a transfer station! What can you say!
Herbert Hickey
This is the only transfer station I've had to go to in my life. You can bring just about anything here, just read the website info first. If you are new to Hingham, don't believe the hype. Yes, the town is serious about recycling but no one is out there checking your bags etc. It is an honor system and you are expected to do your best. The only shortfall is that the parking for the bulk of the recyclables is small and this section is right near the entrance so it gets backed up sometimes but the line moves pretty well.

You cannot. Oil based paint is considered Hazardous Waste and can only be brought to one of our Hazardous Waste Days in either the Spring or the Fall. Check ssrcoop.info for schedule and for more information.
