Let me start by saying I am not a fan of writing reviews unless I feel it is necessary. If you have several dealerships you are considering for a vehicle purchase, read my review before deciding. My CarMax engagement was terrific. I purchased my second vehicle from CarMax, and management and the staff went above and beyond in delivering a quality, professional customer experience. I choose the home delivery option. CarMax was on time with my delivery and prepared to answer all of my questions. In addition, CarMax made my interaction with them seamless. Unfortunately, the vehicle I had delivered had a mechanical issue. However, I can honestly say, CarMax made me feel like royalty during the return process. When I arrived at the dealership, management greeted me (yes, I said management) and was prepared to meet my needs without any hassles. They promptly refunded my down payment. I wanted to purchase another vehicle, and they had a top-notch sales representative on hand to help me with the process. I chose a vehicle in a different state, which means I had transfer fees to bring the car to North Carolina. Guess what? CarMax paid the transfer fees on my behalf. I cannot say enough great things. I will purchase my future vehicles from CarMax. Oh, one last thing, look at the beautiful yellow bow CarMax put on my new vehicle. The little things mean ALOT! #ilovethecarmaxexperience

I set everything up online. Unfortunately, the process was not very user-friendly. First, I scheduled an express pickup, which was changed to a test drive the day before my appointment without my knowledge. Then I had trouble with conflicting information from several different associates. Ultimately, I spent about two hours on the phone, ensuring that my express pickup was good. When I finally picked up the car, the actual mileage was about 2k higher than the mileage listed on the website. Additionally, there were two very noticeable dents on the sides of the vehicle. Furthermore, the car was not very clean, inside or out. However, I was determined to secure my vehicle, so I accepted delivery and left. This is not the experience I expected to have when purchasing vehicle from an organization like CarMax.

My experience was very good... I will say that I found a car online that I was interested in before I went. I also made an appointment. So, mostly what I needed to do is to test drive the car, decide if I wanted to buy it, and then walk through the process.... which still took a number of hours. But I expected it. And when you make the decision to buy from CarMax, you know you won't be able to negotiate price, so you have to make your peace with that. The person I worked with was helpful and actually encouraged me to look at a few other cars as well ...and to test the car I thought I wanted a 2nd time when I was worried that the driver's seat was positioned too high for me. About a week later I found a few minor issues, and the CarMax warranty (not the auto warranty or an add-on) took care of the problems in their service department, with few questions asked. I would happily buy from them again.

Had to share a great experience delivered by Matt Linzer and the team at this Carmax location. We sold my wifes 2020 CRV for an Odyssey. After the long ride home we determined this wasn’t the car for us and made arrangements to try another one at the same location. Two days later we returned the van for the black van pictured. The whole process was painless and took about the same time as our initial trip. The second van has been great, and it was overall a great experience.

Yes
Might be too old but call them or stop by and they will let you know.
Sure, but make sure you do your research and find the best offer, because they'll get you to any way rhey can. You know.......... capitalism 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
No but I have the best crossover made. The CarMax on Glenwood Ave is the best of all the CarMaxs in this area.
From my experience you have to go through the steps and then they will give you the live operator. Follow the steps and hopefully you will get a person. I hope that helps
Yes, make an appointment or just walk in and if the car is not reserved you can take a test drive
Yes, on Glenwood road
Feign interest in buying a car, a car you've researched thoroughly. When you're there and checking it out, ask for the sales manager. When the manager comes, hand in your resume and start telling them fun facts about yourself, IMMEDIATELY. You're an avid longboarder, you are into fine cheeses, and you are very well learned about cars. Switch gears, try to SELL THAT MAN HIS OWN CAR. They will have no other option than to hire you, no phone call needed. Good luck, buddy!
Yes they can. If you sell it to Carmax, you will owe the remaining lease payments plus the residual value plus any lease termination fee. Carmax will handle the paperwork with the leasing company.
Not 100% sure but they asked for my driver's license on several occasions and never indicated that a permit was an option.
They have implemented spacing at desks and staff are wearing masks, but the person working with me kept pulling his mask away from his face while speaking.
Yes, the office staff is there on the weekends.
Look online at what they have and remember the additional fees you will need to pay.
Sure can. Its not only a free service, but you don't have to decide right then and there. They give you 7 days to accept it should you decide to sell.
Yes, and no credit credit card only cash or finance
Yes
Yes
They just want to sell, they will give you some money
It is easy to request a transfer and make it a one stop shop. Transfers are usually free.
The body shop is for vehicles purchased at CarMax within the last 30 days. Outside of that, it is used for reconditioning vehicles for resale.
You will need to have your durango appraised, which would take 30-45 minutes, during which you can look at cars. If you like the appraisal offer, you would need a copy of your registration, drivers license and title. You can use that appraisal offer to trade your vehicle or sell it by itself.
Take it in 2 get value
