I was there for rehab after knee surgery. One star is too many. A facility can be old and clean, however Dexter House was old and dirty beyond belief. There was old mismatched motel furniture that was mostly broken as well as the bed I was forced to sleep in. My room had a broken bed between me and my roommate as well as broken light fixtures throughout. I was given a basic office chair that I couldn't sit on for more than 15 minutes because of my knee surgery. They didn't have a suitable chair for me, so I sat on the broken bed. I was given too many antibiotics for too many days and medication was not given to me it was supposed to. Most of the staff was nice, but the bad ones were terrible and overshadowed the good. KEEP YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AWAY!

The place is old and outdated, but staff is amazing! Such a high level of care , follow through and compassion that is so hard to find. In the business of care and they really do.❤❤❤❤❤

Facility has gone through major positive changes in the past two to three years. Change of ownership along with lots of new staffing. Facility truly cares about each person whom walks throught the door.

Staff is caring, and helpful, my father has been there since January and is now at the end unfortunately. All the staff have been helpful and caring for his needs. Also my needs. I visit six days a week and have noticed how they care for people. It's difficult for families to see the BIG picture. Yes it's your loved one and you want the best for them. If you open your eyes and see that there are many people in this facility that tend to everyone and are fare and respectful of everyone. I personally love the staff and have grown to know many of them. They are GREAT people with a difficult job with little appreciation.
