The 3 hour ride is absolutely excellent. The wranglers couldn’t be more accommodating. If you had an IPhone they took photos of you on your ride. Our wranglers were Kevin and Mac. They were very informative. I left our car keys in the saddle bag and they brought them to the hotel lobby for us. Horses were nicely cared for. First class operation. Scenery was amazing

Superb horseback riding experience! Kevin and Whitney provided a positive attitude and a plethora of information on our trail ride into Losee Canyon. We learned about Hodoos and local vegetation and even a little history about the canyon and Ruby’s Legacy. The ride was easy and laid back with awesome horses and excellent guides. Looking forward to coming back and doing the Thunder Mountain Trailride.

I'm rating them 5 because I loved how they gave my 7 yr old daughter all the help and assistance she could ever need to make her first horseback ride safe, smart and enjoyable. They gave her extra tools (as seen in pics) like the green hose to tap the back of the horse to get it moving and a special kind of foot rest, since she is so tiny. They taught her well and thankfully, my daughter did great in following all the instructions. They gave her 'Dead-eye' the cappuccino-colored horse, which was so gentle and friendly, maybe a little slow but perfect for kids. Mine was 'Cowboy' who is buddies with my daughters horse, so our horses stayed really close together which made me feel safe with my daughter. Frank did a great job assisting us and teaching us how to properly handle the horse. The ride is mainly through the forest, and then briefly at the rim. But we were offered to stop and take pictures, so it was all good. While we were there, we did encounter a little bit of a challenge with one of the horses (not ours) and it seemed like it was acting up, but I think the rider was just so tensed and the horse could feel it. But the situation was managed well by Frank so it was still an overall great experience. SO RELAX when you go, and just follow all the instructions, you'll enjoy.

Thank you Deborah! Be sure to leave us a review.

My daughter and I are experienced riders and have been riding into Canyon de Chelly for years on private rides with a guide. The Canyon is currently closed. Do you offer any private options for longer rides? Thanks, Max

Unfortunately we do not offer private tours, but our longer rides usually have smaller crowds. We do offer the Thunder Mountain Horse ride which is for experienced riders and has unbelievable views! The All Day ride is another beautiful ride for experienced riders. Give us a call to book 1-435-834-8032 and ask our agents about private tours or visit our website to book horserides.net.

We're planning a trip with our horses to ride in Bryce Canyon. How do we contact the campground at Ruby's to make reservations for ourselves & our horses? Which trails are "don't miss" ones? Thanks!

Ruby's Inn has a Horse Motel with RV Spaces next the boarding corrals. Please call 866-782-0002 for reservations. Thank you for contacting us and we look forward to your arrival. Ron

Hi ... we are planning a trip to the Zion/Bryce area over Thanksgiving week, which is late in the season for some outdoor activities in this area. Is horseback riding still available?

Debra Fox | Jul 28, 2019

Sorry for the delay with our response. During the Thanksgiving time the horse back rides are dependent on the weather. At this time we are planning on offering rides over the Thanksgiving period. Hope to see you then, safe travels. Management

Hoping to do a trail ride next month when we visit. Can you tell me what the weight restrictions are for the riders. My husband weighs 230 lbs

The All Day Ride and Thunder Mountain weight limit is 230# The 1 1/2 hour and Half Day Rides weight limit is 220lb. (Over 6′ Tall, up to 260lb.) We look forward to seeing you during your visit to Bryce Canyon Nation Park.

Can we bring our own horses

You can bring your own horses. Ruby's Inn also operates the rodeo grounds in Bryce Canyon City. There are nice pens that you can rent nightly for your horses and you can either camp in the rodeo grounds on full hook-up sites or stay at one of the nearby lodges. You can rent small 2 horse trailers or larger stock trailers if you want to haul your horses without unhooking your living quarters trailer. They even have a farrier on staff in case your horse throws a shoe. Bryce Canyon City is very horse friendly!
