Place was great ! Loved being there, food was amazing. Unfortunately they cant get their WIFI working properly, if you have AT&T you will not have service at all, but dont let this keep you from this amazing place and their tours. Service was impeccable !

Great location overlooking the Kennicott Glacier. Very easy access to the historic Kennecott mine town and several hiking trails. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Good is good. Their home baked bread and chocolate chip cookies are delicious!

The scenery is beautiful and there are lots of opportunities to learn about the history of the area. However, there is no one to ask about trails or animals in the area at the lodge. The rooms are nice at the South lodge but the tp is extremely low quality, there are no tissues or hair dryers. A meal plan is available but very expensive.

This is a review of their restaurant; we did not stay at the lodge. The restaurant was closed for indoor dining (June) but we were able to order a soup, sandwich and cookies to sit on the deck. That's all they were offering on their lunch menu at the time. The sandwich was bigger than I think I have ever seen. It was probably three sandwiches in one with so much ham that I think it was a small pig. It came with chips and I also ordered their soup which was good. The cookies were also tasty. there were a couple of small service issues that were worked out but all in all, a solid place for lunch.

I was on a group tour, also, so don't know about prices. I highly recommend the lodge, though, especially their food. I just wasn't expecting gourmet restaurant quality food in such a remote place! You CAN drive in, but i recommend taking a plane in. The flight over the glaciers and mountains saves you several hours driving over gravel roads, and the scenery is incredible! Enjoy your trip!
