Was looking for a cool new place to take my service dog and just get away for a day/night. I picked a Sunday afternoon check-in. thinking there would be plenty of vacancies to choose from. So I called the office and asked if cabin number 8 was available they said yes. So I said I would like to book it for today for one day. I was put on hold and then was told that there is no one day bookings allowed. it's a minimum of 2 days. I would love to stay for 2 days but just don't have that kind of time. So I politely said well thank you for your time and I went back to their website and and found there's nowhere that (2 day) rule is stated. It says daily rates, weekly rates, etc. it says daily dog deposits, weekly dog deposits, etc. not one place does it say (2) today minimum. very disappointed was looking forward to this short getaway with my Lil buddy Upchurch. We'll find somewhere else that will have us.

This is a great thing for family and friends to do rent a pontoon at Castaways and go to silver glen springs for the day great place to hang out and there are wild gators various fish ,sometimes manatees water on Lake George is brown and when you go into mouth of springs turns into crystal clear water it stays consistent 60ish degrees so when its 100° its great

Rented a pontoon boat from them. Super clean boat everything worked like it should staff was on point super nice and helpful. I will be back. Thanks for the great day

We were very fortunate to get reservations for a last minute weekend getaway at Castaways. This is our first time staying here, and it exceeded our expectations, we had a lovely weekend! We reserved a ground floor motel room with boat dockage. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Our boat was docked near our room, which helped us to feel more comfortable as well. The Castaways management team is friendly, accommodating and made us feel welcome. The only feedback I have is that Castaways will be absolutely perfect when the nearby restaurant renovation is complete and it reopens!
