Drove out to IVM tonight to drop off 100 pounds of sockeye to have processed. Have used their after hours drop off before without any problems. Always love supporting local businesses. However, today they had a sign on the drop off door stating that they were closed until 10 am this morning, yet they were still closed to drop offs. I was there at 9 pm on the same day that the sign stated open at 10am for drop offs. There was also nothing posted online stating their closed status to after hour drop offs. It’s no short jaunt to drive out to Indian only to turn around empty handed. I could hear people working inside yet no one replied to my knocking on the doors. I will never use IVM again after this experience. How hard is it to update your status online as far as after hour drop offs??? I’ll take my business elsewhere as there’s AK sausage & seafood as well as 10th & M seafoods. Save the gas, dissatisfying taste and the ride out of town. There’s no excuse for not updating these closures online.

After living in Alaska for over 30 years, my family and I finally got a chance to visit Indian Valley Meats yesterday for the first time. Love the selection, prices were great and staff made us feel welcomed. Thank you for a fun experience! We'll be back again soon.🙂

Indian Valley Meats has the best sausage! We only get our sausage from them. It is worth the scenic drive to Indian Valley. We try to buy different types of jerky, and some of their seasonings while we are there. Great people, very yummy products! The sausage makes great Christmas gifts for our children that live outside of Alaska. For them it is a taste of home!
