Great playground for kids and we love it because of the shade from the trees, especially in the summer months. There is an exercise area but it is away from the playground, sparsely used, and the equipment is probably not the best. Each day may bring a different crowd which is why some reviews vary regarding trash and opinion of the playground's condition. Most of the days we come it's pretty clean, at most there are a few plastic bottles left behind. Look at the photos and see if this is a place you'd like to visit. Our kids love it! The town recently added 4 picnic benches, which was a great addition. Maintenance is needed on some of the playground and hopefully those improvements will continue, but the kids don't notice and love to play here and run around.

We went to this park on an evening. It was a nice little park with wooden play area. Some play items need maintenance like the swing which are broken. There are few picnic tables to rest and eat as well.

I am sure when this was originally installed it was amazing. This playground is in serious disrepair. Some equipment is broken, some areas of the structure have large cracks in places that may cause its integrity to be at risk. A lot of splintered wood. And the amount of litter is shameful. We were just visiting, if we lived in Salem we would volunteer. Is there a volunteer group to maintain this, or is the Town responsible? Clearly someone needs to be the one to step up and make this a great place for kids. As it is now, parents take care if you come here...

No where near what it use to be when first conceived. Yes nice play area for kids. A trail loops around. But confusing parking situation. Can you park or not. Not very well maintained. Salem could do a lot better!
