I walked an hour out and back. It was nice but I thought there would be some better views. It was pretty much just a trail cut through the middle of the woods so you couldn't see much. But it was relaxing. I also may have picked the less scenic trail as there were a couple of options from the trailhead. I'll be back.

Beautiful woods, pleasant walk! Kids get tired, but that’s the point! Took a couple hours to do a loop with a large group including infants and children. Either going up or down, not flat. Strollers not impossible but also not recommended because of roots. Thanks to borough parks and rec for including this on the trails challenge, I’ve lived in Fairbanks my whole life but had no idea it was here until doing the trails challenge a few years ago. Have enjoyed it from time to time since, nice to add variety to our walks!

Beautiful, advanced, primitive trail that weaves through the side of the ridge. Several offshoots lead to private property, so be careful not to trespass while walking along. Perfect for summertime roaming. The trails are unimproved, stitched together with tree roots and fallen trees. Many parts can be treacherous after the rain, so plan accordingly. Parking is sparse, with enough for 3 vehicles without obstructing traffic.

My husband wanted to buy property and build an expensive house here because it was by the trails. I'll spend my money outside the borough.

No. There's single track (Secret Trail, After Hours, Heart of Darkness) and double track( Skyline Ridge, overtime climb, Goldstream Connectors)
