I made an appointment and only waited 30 minutes, which I'd say is pretty fantastic! The employee who helped me was all business and didn't smile (to be fair, he didn't really frown either - just very serious). No small talk, but that meant it was done in like 5 minutes! For sure the fact that I had my passport card and 2 utility bills from this month had a good bit to do with it also. The person who took my photo let me look at the photo first and tried 3 times. I have quite a thin smile (lips are small) when I'm not showing my teeth, so the program thought twice that my teeth were showing even though they weren't. (Since it will be black and white on the license, I could have worn a huge amount of makeup and it would have looked fine - I could have made my lips much fuller and it would not have taken that whole extra 2 minutes...lol) She finally told the program to accept the photo and I was on my way having spent only about 40 minutes there! Moral of the story? Be prepared, make an appointment, and it's a painless process! Pro tip? Practice your Mona Lisa smile in the mirror before you go so you can be happy with the results. You can wear vaudeville or drag queen makeup and it'll probably look great because it is black and white. (Totally should have done that!) And meh, if you aren't happy with it? Join us, the many, who feel the exact same way! Aren't you supposed to hate your drivers license photo?

IKR! Look I came here to get a copy of a document. I expected a hassle and lines and you know the purgatory that seems to embody every DMV. What I got was fast, friendly, and stress free.

I'm going to go straight down the middle on the stars. I have had some fantastic experiences at this place in the past. Recently however, it is horrendous. Appointments are weeks out, meanwhile; I can never get someone to answer the phone and the website works half the time. I have to physically go to the dmv, make an appointment after waiting for the 8 people in front of me to hear the same thing. We hear this over and over again while we watch 6 employees laughing and joking while their 2 customers with appointments are served. It is a joke.

Amanda or Amelia and the lady who takes your picture made the whole DMV experience amazing. They were so helpful and understanding and just overall friendly and happy ladies. Thank you both for the best DMV experience I have ever had.
