I spent a week here in January 2022. I had the place to myself during the week & 4 campers on the weekend. The place is tiny. You can walk a lap of the campground in under 2 minutes. It's close to the road but minimal traffic in the evenings. Most sites are small but two larger ones available. The tent sites don't allow you to park in them so grab an RV site if possible. There's also a gun range a couple miles away. It would be buggy in the summer months. Nice place for hiking or e-bikes. Too much deep sand for a regular bike. Enjoy!

A pretty little primitive campground, porta potty is really bad, campsite was trashed when we arrived, but really pretty. Neighbors in site 6 stayed up until 5 screaming and crying, some sort of domestic couple fight. Why do people think it's ok to make others a party to their drama? If you're going to stay in a twisted relationship and fight for 6 hours straight, stay home. This is not the first time this has happened camping. Guess they get sick of fighting in the same space? Again, really pretty spot, nature trumps humanity's worst.

Well marked entrance, entrance road cut back to 13' height. Very clean, 10 spaces set out with nice space between. However the loop road around the campsites is NOT cut back for large RVs. Do not arrive after dark in a 5th wheel or large Class A! You will want a walker/observer to keep from dragging limbs on the roof. Site 4 & 7 are best for bigger rigs. Porta Potties and Dumpster well maintained. Bring in firewood if you want a campfire. Rangers cruise through on an irregular schedule. Kiosk has a lot of good information. The Lake Wales Ridge is a very interesting piece of geology/ecology.

Not busy but you do have to pay online. Might as well pay ahead of time if you know which site you want. 4&6 are large sites. 5 is very private.
