No one in charge was ever found on grounds despite my looking for them on 3 spectate occasions throughout the day. The toilets smell SOOO bad you can smell them from all directions. Because there were no camp hosts a group that let their dog bark nonstop (not exaggerating) and were very loud until 1am went unchecked. I would have just packed up but it rained 🤷🏼‍♀️ The mosquitoes were INSANE!!!

The campground itself was great, with dead fallen trees all-around ready to be chopped up for firewood. The first major problem was that the roads were very thin and it was quite difficult to park. The second major problem was the bathrooms. The toilet was a hole in the ground, the stalls don't lock, and there are no sinks to wash your hands.

Been here about 4 or 5 times. Such a beautiful and well kept campground. Paved roads all the way up really easy access and the rates for camp sites is very reasonable. Highly recommend it.

About 6400 feet.

Are there any walk up day of registration options, like first come first serve? If so, do you go to the campground to do that? What time do they open?

When we got there, the entrance kiosk had a sign saying "Campground full". To me this implies you could walk up and reserve a site. But that was a non-holiday Tuesday, so reserving in advance is highly recommended.

I have Verizon. Just passed the mouth of the canyon, you will lose signal. Up at the lake and or campground it is spotty for texting. Text will come and go here and there. But not a cell signal. I might receive a text while I'm out and about and then I would send my response and just continue my walking and driving around and sometimes it would send in sometimes I would have to resend it.
