Great place to camp, the guy who checks you in is a bit intense. No reservations, it's first come first serve. Bring cash or check to pay. $26 per unit per night. Easy to grill with charcoal and start a campfire.

I went to visit family members who were staying in the campground. The campground host was very rude to me the moment I arrived. He yelled at me to the point of tears because he said I was kicking up dust. He told me that he apologized for the sternness, but not for the message. This could have been handled far more professionally. He only cared about me paying my fee and gave no regard to my feelings. I found out that others in my family had been treated in a similar way when they arrived. The site itself was just fine, but his behavior towards me made me feel terrible and that makes me not want to go back there again.

We really enjoyed this campground. The camp host was super kind and helpful. Made us feel welcome. No water at all, so bring your own. The middle bathroom was super clean and even smelled good...which was super nice!

We really liked this site! We got there around 4pm to get site 12 which is a double campsite. The host let us put four cars at our campsite without being charged extra for the vehicles (the single sites could only have one car and any extra were $10 each). There were still campsites available at the end of the day. The host is really chill and friendly! Make sure you have enough cash or a check to pay. We had to go all the way back to town to get cash. π

There are not day spots available as far as I know. You could always book the site for the night and not stay? Secondly, there are excellent spots for hammocks!
Not immediately. But you can make the 10-15 min drive down the canyon to Provo river or Bridal Veil falls.
The gates close at 10pm and open again at 7am
The turns in the campsite and on the road towards it are too narrow for something that big
I'm pretty sure the trailhead is across and down the road a ways, maybe half a mile.
Had no problem with fitting extra cars on the site. If you have 2 sites you should have enough.
Prob not... Spots are smaller
Yes, the fire pits are raised so the kids cannot fall into the fire.
A camper can fit in some sites.
Yes, the camp host told us that if they did not cause problems they are okay not on a leash
No we are closed up on the 7 of October
There is no pavement in this campground. The road through it is layered in large gravel rock, and the sites themselves are uneven and dirt. I would recommend you look at the sites up behind Timp.
