I used to go volunteer here with Ms. Goodwin back my elementary school teacher back in 2017 or 2018 cant remember but I suddenly disappeared... I was suicidal, just I'm still alive and I missed the cats I played with and took care of suddenly just now seeing it on Google map made me think back i just quit and disappeared..., just I'm sorry I'm a bad volunteer.

I was a volunteer at Quincy Animal Shelter. It’s one of the best shelters I have worked with. People are very friendly and passionate to help the animals. I saw many animals get rescued by the shelter and found a new home. I am very happy to be part of this team

This place is very friendly, I brought my 2 toddlers and my 10yr old who is autistic. They were very patient with all of them and answered so many questions my kids and I had. They had so much fun and even got a stuffed animal on the way out. The cats and dogs were adorable as well. I wish there was a way to bring more attention to this place because the staff and the overall experience was great :)

Kitten tabby
Yes although if they're babies they might need follow up vaccines.
Ditto!
You can reach the animal shelter during regular business hours and they can help you with a surrender form. Do not dump the animal at the shelter as thats illegal and cruel.
Not sure what that is
All adoptions are currently by appointment only, I would call and ask if they have any, that way if they do then you can set up the appointment then.
Sometimes they do. They're a shelter, so whatever cats they have are dependent upon what animals are surrendered or rescued by the shelter.
Dont let em know if u have pets. If u get the yearly shots at a certified petco n take dog to vet 3 yrs before and fine and health they consider neglect. He gets special oragic food. He is treated lime the little prince he is. I can get u a kitten. My friend is having some. She wants a small fee and a location inspection to be sure u can house and care for her food n ect. I'm getting one for her.
All donations are appreciated and needed. Thanks for caring about others in need.
I am not sure. You should call them and ask. I'm sure they need all the volunteers they can get with people who love animals.
Not sure give them a call.
I echo what the other person said. You could try calling directly. They might have some or know a shelter that does.
Hi Leyla - you have to be 18 or older to volunteer. Sometimes HSers can volunteer with a parent's permission. You can always help out by hosting a pet food drive or fundraiser at your school.
Rating of what exactly?
No. Volunteers have to be 18.
Check out the Quincy Animal Shelter's Facebook page to see who's currently available for adoption. Their adoption hours are typically Tues/Thurs evenings and Sat morning through early afternoon.
This is not the place to post questions TO the shelter, they do not monitor this page. Please call or email the shelter directly regarding this.
The place is pretty small. I'd call first.
We accept clean towels, facecloths, and sheets. We're not able to accept comforters, spreads, blankets, or pillows.
They want you and the animal to be a good fit. Also, if you can't keep an animal you got from them for any reason you are supposed to return it to them. If you are thinking of returning an animal, i would call them. They are pretty understanding.
Quincy Animal Shelter is only able to care for cats and dogs. If you are looking for other types of pets, for fostering or adoption, please contact the ASPCA in Boston or the MSPCA. They have other types of animals.
