If I lived in your state I would be working for an investigation of the procedures of Massachusetts Department of Children & Families. Long time friends of our daughter and son-in-law are currently experiencing the worst arbitrary decision making imaginable. It is heart wrenching. Something is definitely amiss and I hope some needed accountability comes to bear on the MA DCF sooner than later.

Seconding the last comment: Granted there is a pandemic and a lot of people are working remotely. If you call and are lucky enough to reach someone they pass you along to someone else and you get a voicemail and they don't return the call. (Left VM multiple times with no call back) If this agency is there to help children and families they are not doing their jobs !! Do you job. At least attempt to. I understand you're working with limited resources but I guarantee the youth looking for your services are going without a lot more.

This department is a useless waste of taxpayer money that does more harm than good. Google the case of Justina Palletier. This is one case of many. The American public does not need agencies like this. They are taking children from loving parents and giving children to the state to be held in Psychiatric wards. This was never the intention when this department was created. Medical neglect means you are not getting your child medical care. This was certainly not the what was happening with this family. They were following the orders of their chosen government approved doctor. This family has done nothing to deserve their child to be taken away from them. Please I beg you to stop the madness. This is so unbelievable I had to research for myself. This is horrible and evil and this department is a huge part in the continuance of the nightmare. Please, return Justina to her family!

Is it still possible to get my dad records from before I was adopted. I am trying to find out about my biological family and medical records

If you know what town you were adopted from call the DCF office there and see if someone can help you track down your records. I will warn you, there may not be much. DCF doesn't usually get much in the way of bio family records unless they are voluntarily given.

Does Mass health coverage expire on an adoptive child's 18th birthday? If not when?

I believe it expires on the 22nd birthday. My adoptive son is 18 1/2 and still has his Mass health. The only thing is that he's in school (college) so I don't know if that makes a difference.
