Left my boat for 3 weeks and this shop never touched it. They told me because the 200 hp Yamaha didn't have hydraulic steering so they wouldn't be able to clean the carbs or put a water pump on. They said they would incur liability of some sort if they cleaned my carbs. They also said the transom was bad and there is nothing wrong with my transom!!! So many shops are so crooked until you can't trust people anymore these days.

If I can give them less than one star I will, the worst company I have had to deal with so far. If I would of known what my experience would be, I would of preferred a street mechanic. Man they like to steal people's money, and trust me not professionals at all when it comes to real mechanical issues.. all they did for me was change parts "to figure out the problem" and charged labor work without the problem resolved. anybody can change oil on a motor but when it comes to real mechanical issues trust me, they don't know what they're doing. they say they're professional but they're not 😠😠😠😠. Had my boat in for 6 months, thousands dollars later motors still didn't get fixed and to top it off, they allowed my boat to become moldy and returned it with water inside due to carelessness (no unplugging). I had high hopes with all the positive reviews I originally saw but I am disappointed.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I am talking bottom of the barrel. If you think you have had really bad service, trust me it gets worse. I have a claim on my boat with the insurance company, and was advised by them to hand all the money to Alafia Marine. The checks are in excess of $10k. This was back in January 2018. What was supposed to be a repair within 3 months (very conservative number has turned into 6 mos and going). That's not the worst. My boat sat out for months (maybe 4) getting weathered without any consideration of getting back to me to tell me they aren't getting any responses back from the boat dealer they ordered repair parts from. Apparently, boat dealers around the country don't like sales since no one wants to communicate to Alafia Marine on my parts. I eventually called the company they said they ordered the parts from and apparently my issue was pretty well known at that dealer and they said there was like no way I was getting that part as quick as I was advised because they were not even going to have the shipment on their truck until the next order of boats came in and they couldn't even tell me when that was going to be. After being extremely patient and made a few comments about the time, Alafia Marine said they would just "patch" the boat and then when the part comes in they would call me back. What a novel idea! You are getting the job and that would have been great service from day 1. This was 3 months ago. I said fine but please make sure my boat has been wiped down and cleaned up because it had been sitting out in the dirt and pollen for months. I was told yes no problem and I go to pick up the boat and it was filthy and moldy and underneath the bench seats were loaded with leaves and mud. So the insurance company says if they don't detail the boat then they would as a complimentary thing which was great. Off topic, so now the marina said they had ordered the part "again" from another dealer who claim they could get the part in 3 weeks well now again we are at 3 months and the communication from Alafia Marine is a -10. So I have to call and I am told over and over, they haven't heard anything back but they put in a call or email. Every time I am told they will contact me back, I get nothing. So, the way I see it is that they got the money, no incentive to actually fix my boat, and hope I probably just disappear so they can just go spend it on whatever it is they do. If you want an oil change or maybe even a tire rotation is probably the best service you'll get from them. If you need any real work done then I would run far and fast in the other direction.

I called asking for a trim motor and pump and they promptly called back the same day with prices, I told them based on our conversation that I didn't really want to fix the motor myself. I ended up bringing it in for a diagnostic test and they fixed the problem without replacing the pump or motor. It only took a couple days and I was back fishing for a lot less then I thought I would have to pay.

They might, but I would not trust this buisness with any repairs or sales. They seem to operate in the grey of whats legal and illegal. They where drinking on the job when i visited and very rude. Then on guy hopped in his car and drove away after crushing a tall boy. Stay away.

Are they authorized to do warranty work on Minn Kota's?
