Of ALL the elder apartment buildings I have seen on the North Shore, Peabody House is the ABSOLUTE BEST. It is well-managed and well-maintained. Centrally located in downtown Peabody, it is an easy walk (walker, power-chair also) to the Post Office, Library, Walgreen's, restaurants, pubs, stores, bakery, etc. The Senior Center in Peabody is a few blocks away. There is a brand-new Veterans Memorial park less than half a block away with walking path and chess tables. The Ride and North Shore Elder service buses are available daily. As with most other places, there is a waiting list for occupancy. If you are interested in living in such a wonderful place, call the office. Spring of 2018 during the HUD INSPECTION this facility earned a 98% rating.
